Petrenko should be back with Adelaide next week, too good.

Without doubt the best game I've seen Petrenko play. Always thought he was a good player but never dominated in the SANFL before. His clean skills and run from defence was fantastic today. Done his chances of a recall to the AFL no harm at all.

As others have said, McKenzie was superb. Thought we saw today how important Grocke is to the team. His absence as a target across half forward was glaring especially in the 1st half. Hentchel still looking well short of his best.

Thought Hentschel looked proppy for most of the day, and thank **** you didnt have Grocke .. I'd say the most important/best forward in the competition.

One of McKenzie's plays today was awesome, and I couldn't help but applaud (along with a few Red n Blue bloods near me) .. Read the ball brilliantly on the Western wing (3rd quarter) took the ball with clean hands, moved around one of our blokes and in traffic hit up a short forward target .. Not only read the play brilliantly but the composure was elite for this level.

80% of footballers in the SANFL are better than Fulou & Harmicheal *unt !!!

Blokes like Macca are head n shoulders above those types...

Watching Gold Coast get belted & also GWS get the same in the Foxtel Cup ... is laughable how 1/2 their sides are getting a game quite frankly.

One thing that frustrates me watching the Eagles is when Jarrad calls for the ball on his wrong side, and our players give it to him. Classic case in the 3rd where we were streaming out of defence and handballed sideways. Think Jarrad got tackled, but if he didn't, he would have had to arc around and run the same path as the handballer.

Thats so true, dont know why some make it and some dont. Duigan wasnt a superstar at norwood yet hes having a great start to his AFL career, some go the other way though, paul thomas is a star here but was an absolute dud when he went over to essendon

I certainly won’t be ‘slitting my wrists’ until we badly lose a game with all the missing men having re-joined
our near best possible line up. And ALL the right players are playing in their CORRECT positions.
We have far too many reserve grade players just filling the league gaps at the moment.
When most or all of the following come back, I'll be expecting very different results.

Hughes, Schulz, Doyle, Aish, Zorzi, Pfeiffer, Clarke, Donahue.

Dunno how badly JAS was affected, but I've had to go back to my analyst.
;)
The result may have been crapola, especially for Jackie's birthday today, but it was great
to meet a few SA Footy forum stars. Cheers: Footy Chick, Spell Check, Quichey & The Ash Man

Disagree, with the first part. I think a player that can read and use the ball like he does, could have been successful at AFL level. But, the "experts" agree with you NFC. I can't recall him ever having a poor game against us.

He played one of the better games I've ever seen yesterday. Dominant.

Macca would have to be close to an early Magarey Medal favourite. Has been superb in every game and is easily our most consistent. Even in the loss to Sturt was brilliant.

Here is the Localfootysa highlights clip from this game...

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl ... 6048508569

Interesting to see on the vision there at the end, Legs skipper James Gallagher deliberately throw the ball into the face of Eagles player Stuart Hill from less than a metre away

That was a terrible effort by Norwood yesterday.
Turning the ball over consistently.
Far too many passengers and our midfield is getting slaughtered.
The last 2 games have shown up a few players for not being hard enough and our tackling has been terrible.
You would think there would be at least 3-5 changes for the North game.

Any Eagles supporters able to tell me how many underage players played reserves or league on the weekend?

Like all the SANFL's better players, they lack a yard of pace.
