What a gutsy win by the side today. To have 2 players in hospital before half time, plus J Gowans on the bench injured and Sibenaler playing injured, and then to play a second half as if no one was injured was just sensational.

Was a great start to the game, as we set up a 3 goal lead, Glenelg's possessions were limited largely to free kicks. The second quarter was a repeat, but our bench resembled a casualty ward. How would we react? Would this get Glenelg back in the game and we dig deep to scrape over the line?

Hell no.

We hit the ground running in the third, slamming home 4 goals in 8 minutes. Every goal the players were pumped, knowing that each goal was a battle. From there even with no bench we were home. But we kept going...and going...and going... and won by 75 points. The support from the fans after the game showed that this wasn't just another Glenelg spanking, it was done on pure guts and determination.

Best way to describe the game - a gutsy massacre

Fair enough but i was getting a beer at the snouts louts bar (great atmosphere on the hill) when he got injuresd and he was copping lots about being soft, toughin up, eat some cement etc etc

What were the bays thinking, he was sitting in the goal square for at least a minute!!!!!

Thanks for many laughs over the last few years bays, greatly appreciated.

That was the single best minor round victory I've witnessed. Pure heart, they've given everything they had today and then did some more. Somehow.

Good to see Sully make it through the reserves game, rested for the full final qtr after dominating at times in the 3rd. Will be a useful addition to the midfield in a couple of weeks with Boyd, Gowans and Dutschke all likely to miss for a while.

Thank you Roy, all the players, staff and The CDFC for a wonderful day.

All sum it up nicely. Footy as it should be, all for the guernsey.

WTF bays, you are sposed to be the main challenger this year, ******* insipid effort, now we have to face them next week coming off that.

At least they will have a few outs from this game so they wont be at full strength but well need more than that.

Norths win over Norwood a few years ago was more gutsy. 2 players not allowed to start the game because of bureaucracy. At least Centrals got some play out of Boyd and DutchKey.

mmmmmmmm 19 men vs 21 (team that were rubbish)

or 17 vs 21 against a team in the top 3 at start of play.

Let the jury decide.

Totally unacceptable effort. Embarrassing

Full kudos to Centrals though, you just have to appreciate how they go about it.

Centurion we didn't get rid of him, he decided to leave. We actually kept him on our list for a couple of years after he left.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
