Will Lobethal help out or just go for the percentage in both junior grades?
Haven't heard from Vaughn re Bridgy last week but they had a win in the U15's. Have Lobethal improved that much or are Bridgy in real trouble, although Lobethal A's did finish off strong as I recall last season.

FD Are you referring to the discussion at the Junior HFL meeting the other night on lending players to the side your playing to make up the numbers? Lobethal have no choice as it is in the constitution. They have to either give Ironbank some player or play with exactly the same amount and no interchange.

Opens up a can of worms on a few fronts. If Loby match numbers with IB several players miss out on a game. If in this case Loby get a couple injuries they will then be playing short and can open them up for a loss.

If Loby do share numbers i'm sure the Loby players playing for Ironbank won't be too thrilled and could very easily not play in the spirit with which its intended.

What happens in the case of mail medal, B&F and Goal Kicking awards for the side?

Also is this going to happen for IB fro the rest of the season or are they taking advantage of the rule because they're up against a top side? I know many clubs have fielded players from lower grades up into the next team week in week out. For ironbank to do it for a few weeks and then not do it this week could be seen in the wrong light.

The Senior Colts competition is no longer seen as a competition to encourage participation it is taken extremely seriously as these players are the next A Grade players of that club. It is perhaps asking a bit much to have this rule cover all the way to Senior Colt level.

Yet again this is normally an issue that is reserved for country div. Its not good to think this is something that is creeping into central div.

Its no secret u15s are doubling up on games for us, so IB ask if Lobethal have any u17s missing out on a game this week that would be interested in playing for IB just this week.

But Lobey only have 21 players, so no.

Anonymous Lobethal officials then personally attack IB officials on public forums.

Its always a fun trip to Lobethal...

So you think i'm a Lobethal Official and that Ironbank is being personally attacked? Way off the mark!!
All i'm doing is questioning the validity of the rule at Senior Colts Level, and pointing out that it can disadvantage the assisting club in Lobethal more than Ironbank(or any other club in the same situation).

The moving of players between grades at junior level is becoming more prominent especially in Central Div and in some cases it is potentially being abused through the lack of an allocated official to monitor this effectively. A case of permits for quality players to play down a grade on occasions springs to mind.

Lets’ not forget that the junior results in central division also get taken into account when determining who is to be relegated.

I would hate it if onka’s were to be relegated as a result of losing junior games because we had to give players to the other side.

If you play in central division you MUST field all teams. If Ironbank (or any club for that matter) can’t do this, then they should be back in country division. This might sound mean, but surely the teams who have worked hard to attract and retain junior players shouldn’t be penalised.

Not you Trooper, someone else posted some dribble last night that has since been wiped.

Gervais- Its a rule. All central clubs must field all junior sides else be relegated. Happened to IB in 1998.

I heard that Fisher has partially torn his ACL and to properly repair it the ligament must be completely cut and a full knee reco will need to happen. If true this is a massive loss to Barker and would really hurt their chance for a flag.

Bridgewater and Ironbank: together they may make one full sized oval.

Do Barker have player insurance? Lofty have a platinum level of cover for all of their registered players which in the event of injury covers all medical costs, private hospital care and loss of income (if greater than two weeks). It is one of the first things accounted for when calculating the year's budget. Re my opening question- do ANY other hills clubs have something like that in place? Those that do should be applauded.
