It was a brilliant move by the other clubs, eventually, to allow the two clubs to merge. When the axe does get swung it'll be a Port hand on the handle rather than theirs.

I wonder when the response from beenreal will come for that one. Well played Bartman!
I'm guessing we'll hear from beenreal again when it's convenient for him.

That's easy. The SANFL averages $4M PROFIT per year out of Port Adelaide, so charge $5M in RENT and give them a clean stadium. Same goes for the AFC.

That means Port Adelaide control the Advertising, the Catering, the Corporate packages, etc and get the opportunity to make some real money like most of the other clubs.

Port, both Ports, aside from all this, you better start winning because when you have no supporters at all, YOU'RE GAWN!!

Well, people like myself and many I know will be here through thick and thin. This will test Port fans to see who really holds the passion.

Im putting my hand up.

I like playing The Maggies, going to Alberton Oval, especially when your own side is going crap, is a true test of one's own character & intestinal fortitude, therefore I hope they keep on keeping on....as for The Power, well, let's just say I liked things the way they were.

Your definition of "many" may not suffice, when Tim started promoting One PAFC, http://www.onepafc.com.au/, it was stated:

"ONE PORT ADELAIDE FOOTBALL CLUB Strategy

One PAFC is proposed to align the 300,000 Port Adelaide supporters and members with a common vision so the Port Adelaide Football Community is as one CLUB again."

I wonder how "many" of the 300,000 ( ) will turn up friday night ? Or was 300,000 just an ambit claim from a club that now appears to have tenuous links with reality......

That would give the AFC about 700,000 supporters. Last time I looked (last night?) there wasn't 700,000 turning up to Crows games. More like 20,000 empty seats from a club with a waiting list.

This 700,000 Crows and 300,000 Port thing sh!t$ me. I know it's a newspaper driven thing but out of all of the people I know, half of them go for non SA teams. Then there's the ones that don't like footy at all. We must have 2.5 million people here in SA

Good on ya mate, keep rolling with the punches ... These times are a test of character for both the club and supporters, but when you come out the other side you should have weeded out the good time guys from the real spine.

Nice attempt at deflection........so despite the claims from Timmy you're now telling us you don't have 300,000 supporters, surely you're not suggesting that someone from your football club was talking out of their arse....

As "Man in Crowd 3" said to Brian: Oh, he's making it up as he goes along!
