Nice story there Jim. No doubt that Barca shirt is framed and has pride of place in the games room

No its not unfortunately. Wore to the CL final that night and it pissed down with rain most of the night. After Barca won i tagged along with several hundred supporters to a few bars. Champagne and beer and allsorts were sprayed all over it. Passed out at about 4ish in the morning and got a cab back to motel. Unfortunately left wallet in cab, lost all my cards. Needless to say i slept on the bus a fair whack of the next day. The shirt is still in my wardrobe, should frame it

UEFA to hold disciplinary hearing into conduct of Barca and Real
Barca also having board meeting to decide if they'll make a formal complaint about comments made by Mourinho. He apparently accused the officials of cheating and that there is a Barca conspiracy.

Wenger has come out in support of Barca which is a bit baffling considering his comments when Arsenal were knocked out in the same comp by the same team

Mourinhos pre match press speech earlier in the week was a disgrace, he accused barca of all sorts and teed off on guardiola. Pep unleashed a barrage in return and its clear mourinho just does it to unsettle the opposition. In the match i hate it how he stands right next to the 4th official and gets in their ear all game, he pressures the refs at every chance he gets, he deservedly got sent off. Maybe hes not the special one adter all, he has finally realised that this overpaid, underperforming club isnt going to win jack shit this year and he is feeling the pressure.

Kick both of the Spanish teams out of the comp I reckon.

A lot of Managers like to have a chat to the 4th Official as well Jimbo. ;)

Glad they are looking into it, these 'El Classicos' get built up a lot but they really aren't worth watching as both teams spend most of the time on the ground and Real just park a very expensive bus usually.

Check out the video on this site lads:

http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satellite/ ... s__leg.htm

Pepe's foot was over the ball but there was NO contact with Alves' leg yet he rolled around as if it had been snapped off.

It also shows the Pedro dive as well as Busquets jumping into the back of a Madrid player and then grabbing his face. Disgraceful antics.

Barcelona disgracful pieces of caca. I hope Pepe red card is recinded and Man utd destroy them in the final. Now that this has been brought to light publicly. They will get no favours form refs and carded eveytime for diving.

Few things - 1. Jose is right and was proven right by barca's showing during the game. 2 - the real job is like the england job almsot impossible to crack. 3 - dont you go for man utd??? and you are gonna talk about a manager having a go at other managers, other teams, pressuering refs and trying to influence them.....your haven' a laugh arent ya.

p.s. Jose is the special one
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Didnt used to mind jose but since he has joined those tossers i wouldnt give him the time of day. The way he carried on about pep in the week leading up to the match was shameful. Pep and Jose used to have a good friendship but i think it has been ruined by his comments. Both teams diving and onfield carrying on was a disgrace but madrids off field performance was just as bad.
Interesting that jose won his CL crowns with lesser favoured teams, but has failed in the CL with the big spending, millionaire clubs.
Are you still going to love mourinho if he ends up at united or Arsenal?

Was on a Contiki tour in Paris the day of the 2006 CL final between Barca and Arsenal. Barca had a fan day in the parklands the day of the final and i met their former president Juan Laporta and a couple of players. Whilst chatting to Laporta he enquired on where i was from and who i supported, i told him i was an aussie who supported United but was supporting Barca in final, i told him i was going to try to get tickets for game. 5 minutes later he returned and said "sorry i cant get any more tickets but if you are going to match you need to blend in" he then tossed me a new Barca strip. I managed to get scalpers tickets and cheered Barca to a famous win, ever since that day ive followed them more closely.

Thats brilliant!!! Well played mate :D

I know both teams behaved disgracefully but alves went and proved why I think he is the biggest penis in world footballer, he is the type of person that takes a corner then gets upset because he cant head the ball for the same corner. Inter are the type that should win the Champions league and he had an open checkbook there to and yes I am still gonna love him, I still love Zola and he managed the pikies.

I agree on alves, he is a disgrace and its such a pity as barca are capable of playing anybody off the pitch without resorting to that crap. Was disappointed in joses tactics, he was playing for a 0-0 draw and hoping to score 1 at barca and go through on away goals. Heard some of his comments after game saying that barca didnt deserve their CL trophy a couple of years back because they cheated in the semi at chelsea and that they dont deserve to win it this year because of the obvious. He failed to mention that Inter won the CL last year thanks to a blatant offside goal from milito

Agreed but they do. They did that game it is still a touchy subject, see here for my thoughts on that game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMyAh-8XtR8 (didn't post the vid for obvious reason once watched). Also back on barca they are the best skilled team in the world and they dont need uefa's help yet they seem to get it and they seem to have every decission go there way, the last time I saw it go a teams way that much was Juventus for the 2-3 seasons right before they got busted for paying off refs.

p.s. frank rijkaard talking and intimerdating the ref at half time during chelsea v barca at barca in 2004/05 season, that ref retired from reffing Uefa knew they had to do something, they put Perluigi Collina in charged (a ref they never took a bribe even in the juve scandel it was proved he would always say no). They match was great match between 2 great sides and just the better team won on the night.

Collina was my favourite ref. Took no shite and could spot a dive a mile away, a pity he has retired.
Watch a fair bit of La liga and the players spend more time lying down than playing the ball. Its quiet a joke and they are tought to act at young age, half those guys at barca or real wouldnt last a season in italy or EPL

Sure Barcelona may have dived a bit, but Madrid did too. Di Maria did a couple of times in the first half.
Semi-Final of the Champions League and Madrid are happy with 20% posession and play 3 CDM's.. That's a joke. It's a home leg, they should be the one's attacking. This is the sole reason why i want Barcelona to get through. At least they are actually trying to play some Football.
Messi was great in the first leg. A class above that's for sure. I hadn't seen a great deal of him before, but his two goals were class.
It's Somma Time!
