Dean Sayers is a good choice.

Excellent coach, pretty tough, knows his stuff.

Just what the club needs with a young group of players coming through.

Any other coach news? I know Glenelg are on the lookout. Prospect as well?

Considering the current one has already resigned due to work commitments and was unable to attend the presentation evening due to said commitments.

H31, what is going on, doesn't everyone know that Sayers is coaching and Ian Graham has replaced Brenton Barrett as President. Any chance you will get a President that lives within an hour of Glandore.

correction Ian Graham is only care taker at this point in time, He has been appointed by the board to lead the club until the AGM, He is in my opinion welcome to nominate for the position and I can't see many more nominations coming from anyone else. Perhaps some more recently retired players take up roles.

I expect a few younger blokes to nominate for positions on the committee, following through on some talk earlier in the season.

100% on the Money re the Coach though, Dean Sayers has the job. Not sure if he is going to raid Woodville considering he recruited a couple of our blokes in his time at Oval Ave it would be nice to see them return. Any others that follow would be welcomed with open arms :)

Sure it's not Greg Wyman? He was batting coach there last year.

Hopefully Ian does a fantastic job... had him as a team manager for a carnival this year and this bloke works tirelessly for any cause he puts himself to... very unfortunate that our junior system failed our local young lads and young graham ended up at the buffs, subsequently the gullies lost out on a great club servant there

It wasn't from a lack of trying. I had many conservations with Ian about coming to the Bulls, firstly with his son playing then Ian hopefully getting involved with the committee/board. Great bloke Ian, our loss & Adelaide's gain.

One would assume the failed super league is revived with a few amendments?

Why is everyone leaving Southerns? Outsider from a local cricket comp but just interesting to hear of players leaving southern at the same time

Unless you live/work locally I would suspect that travel would factor in a large part of the decision making of players.

Roberts and Garrett both live at Willunga, so I don't think easier travel had any bearing on it.

Why are all these lads leaving Southern? They had a very successful year. Top 6 in the firsts b grade premiers and c grade runners up. Its a real shame when a club builds a good squad from local talent and they decide to move on.
