I'd normally stay away from this sort of topic, but in all honesty, at the time I couldn't see for the life of me how Nick Gill could be reported for that, and the replay didn't make it any clearer. Everyone makes mistakes, and really think the umpire did on this occasion.

At least the umpire got the free kick right.

well has the charge been dropped. There is no mention of it on the SANFL site.

Tony Dey is detrimental to SANFL football, or at least Central. Why didn't he stay retired? I try not to be too fussed by umpires, but his performances are always pathetic. The report and then shot on goal, just one example.

ease up its not Centrals he hates Sturt more. He shafted us in that qualifying final in 2009 at Footy Park costing us that direct entry to the GF.

Mind you he shafts them in the minor round also has done for years and yet he was on the AFL panel somehow :?

So, tell us what actually happened Brodlach? Eager to hear your view of the 'incident', not what you heard, or think happened. What you saw? Off you go...

Fair enough he got off. Just makes the decision to ban Jonas for 1 game from his report vs sturt more pathetic.

Peter Woite is still on the tribunal. I think there are 4 or 5 members and any 3 can hear a charge.

Peter Woite is well regarded as a fair judge.

I thought he was a copper not a judge. ;)

Well regarded by the players that "get-off" and not so well regarded by the players that cop a penalty I'm sure ;)
