globe derby 3rd & 5th march

Postby bayman » Sat Mar 03, 2007 1:00 am

gdp sat,

r1 1 should lead & go close 8 is the main danger with multi hopes to 2,7,9,10
r2 while the likely leader 3 will be hard to catch i like 1 e/w as will get a great trip, with next best 2,5,7 (mals just going tomorrow night to have another look at the trainer, i think he was very impressed)
r3 8 is an e/w special from 2,3,4,7,10
r4 1 likely leader & a big chance but i like 7 e/w other hopes to 2,3,4,8
r5 5 a place certainty (i hate its colors) from 1,7 next best 8,9,10
r6 well we all saw 12 at gawler if he steps he is an e/w special, other chances 3,4,6,9,11 with 3 being best of them
r7 2,3 i like 3 just ahead of 2 next best 1,6,7
r8 7,8 to win next best 2
r9 1 an e/w special (shoooooosh) from 4,7,8,9,10
r10 8,9 with next best 1,7

betfair lay
r3 no4 i can not see it leading here
r4 no8 not going as well as he was

suggested bet(s)
r2 no 1 e/w
r3 no 8 e/w
r4 no 7 e/w
r5 no 5 place cert
r9 no 1 e/w (shooooooooosh)

gdp mon,
r1 2,4 on top from 5,6,7,9
r2 1 on top from (word is that it goes well),from 3,4,5
r3 very open for the first leg of treble 4,5,6,7,9,10
r4 top two are 1,5 with a leaning to 1 next best 2,4,7,10
r5 5 almost a good thing from 7 who is the main danger for multis 2,4,8,10
r6 2 on top from 3,9
r7 2,8,9 the clear top three 2 is the likely leader next best is 3
r8 in an open race 5 e/w from 1,6,7,8,10

betfair lay
r4 no 10 very hard from this draw

suggested bet(s)
r2 no 1 e/w
r4 no1 place
r5 quinella 5,7

good luck on the punt
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Saturday Night Preview

R1 - 1 looks a moral - 2,6,7,8,10 the main place chances.
R2 - 3 and 8 ontop from 1,2,5,7
R3 - 4 a moral - 10 a great place bet and maybe 1,2,7,8 to fill the minor spot
R4 - 1 should lead (but pressure from 2,3) mean - i agree with Bayman. like the 7 and 8 here from 1,2,3,4 (yes i've put the 4 in my placings this week)
R5 - 1,5,9 on top with place hopes to 2,7 and thought the 10 may fill a place (went ok monday)
R6 - don't like the 12 off that mark.. (but it can win) - so go with 3 and 6 if looking for better value
R7 - 2 and 4 on top from 1,7,9 (don't like the change of driver on 3 Bayman)
R8 - 7 a special from 2,5,8
R9 - 1... I know nothing about it - so i'll take your word, add 4,6,7,8,9 and there are your main hopes
R10 - 8,9 on top from 1,3,7 and anyone looking to get out on a roughie - I give the 10 a rough chance (yes i'm nuts)

Suggested Bets
R1 - 1 place special
R3 - 4 win + 4 & 10 in roving trifectas and exotics
R4 - 7 e/w
R8 - 7 w

Roughie selections (place hopes)
R5 - 10
R10 - 10

Betfair Specials
R1 - 8 - struggles at Saturday night class when he can't lead.
R4 - 1 - this can win.. but think it's a huge risk and will be under the odds (needs to be at least $3 to be value)
R7 - 3 - don't like the change in driver and think it was lucky to win last time (race was run to suit)

LATE MAL
----------
No late mal, difficult meeting, so will play some exotics.
Comments for suggested small bets tonight

R4-1 ROSEWORTHY LAD[$1-50] simply leads and hard to beat
R4-7 JASPERS FLASH [$16] is massive odds as well
R4-8 NOVEMBER ROMEO[$16] is a big danger to the favourite at massive odds

R7 QUINELLAS 2 with 3/4
R8 QUINELLAS boxed 2/7/8
R9 QUINELLAS boxed 1/8/9

HARNESS HARP
-----------------

BAYMAN V DAMERRELL
----------------------------

Last saturday night DAMERRELL on an interstate race put up the wrong odds
He had the wrong scratchings in his computer and so the odds were out of order.
BAYMAN nonchalantly strolled up and informed the Bookmaker of the error.
DAMERRELL was saved he embarrasment courtesy of BAYMAN.
BAYMAN the ultimate swooper has turned a new leaf :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
Anyhow DAMERRELL did not even thank the BAYMAN for this incident.
Common courtesy, he should have thanked the BAYMAN but didnt, that upset him.

BAYMAN might look like an elephant, but he has a memory like an elephant as well and
will no doubt not be as lenient in future.

PROCTER
-----------

BAYMAN is inFATuated with this delighful lass.
The question I will ask the BAYMAN is :
What would you do if you had her in a room naked and tied down on a bed :?:

SEMAPHORE BOARD
------------------------

It was brought to my attention by an erstwhile individual last week that the
Semaphore board was MALfunctioning.
The distances put on the board below the winning numbers were showing
different distances, gee not bad for something that would cost about $100k

THE LAWNS
---------------

Great family gatherings at GDP at this time of the year, pity about the arseholes
who continue to leave thier cigarette butts in the lawn.
Anyone who attends just havalook at what I mean.
Bring a blanket for the kids.

yes, in time it'll turn into a nice horse it trialled fairly at gawler, then at its next trial went better without showing it up & has been working better & improving every week since, i wasn't happy when the bookie opened at 3.20 but did take 4.00 with him near the end of betting, i knew what it was showing on the tote but was reluctant to back it there i wanted to at least know what i was getting back rather than getting shafted which usually happens, i was hoping for between 6/1 & 8/1 but when they win it doesn't matter what price they are

stampy, i can not understand why people bet on the gallops (the perceived value) as its the hardest of the lot to bet on & to prove it i'll say all you have to do is look at how many bookies turn up

trotts 1 bookie
dogs 1 or 2 bookies (not sure)
races around 15

why ? because thats where they can win & with the perceived value i'll say there is no value if your losing

that was a great drive he summed up that both bonds mission & freddy couples were getting carted back so he took off & got the break on all the horses getting held up, drive of the night, i even think mal would agree as he backed it ( he spent most of the final 200m looking at the trainers reaction than watching the horse win, i think mb would've got a nice sling last night

agree Bayman....when I started keeping records of my betting I was winning on Sports, breaking even on dogs and losing on Horses...since then Ive rarely put a bet on the Gee Gee's, if I do its only a small amount (betting for fun not profit)...therea re so many more variables with Racing especially the track conditions and more varied distances they run compared to dogs and trots
