Get this many to Adelaide Oval today to have more people attend football matches rather than the AFL sideshow over the weekend.

Outside chance?

10,000 at least.
Anything under 9,000 would be disappointing

Poor crowd, but Anzac Day piggybacking Easter would of had an effect.

I call BS on the announced figure. I was at the Rd2 Sturt/Nwd game on a Friday night where 7k was announced and there were way more people in the ground today with only 6k announced...I demand a re-count. My estimate was between 9 and 10k and I'm gobsmacked if the 6k figure is correct:(
C'mon you Reds....Adelaide United = its just like watching Brasil!!!

I love both footy[NOT the V/AFL!] and soccer, is that even allowed??;)

Surely they will only count the entrance tickets (purchased or home/season) tickets when the are handed to the gate attendant. I doubt if they count the pass out tickets went used to get back into the ground. (do kids need a pass out to get back into the ground if they do leave?) Are kids counted in the crowd figures? eg is the crowd figures paying (at the ground or pre-sold season/home game) entrance tickets and not free attendancees?

Poor crowd, I expected about 8,000. It seemed much bigger than the official total.

Well, Norwood/Sturt was 7k, and I thought today was similar to that, so I think 6.5 is about right.

Disappointing crowd.

Well done Adelaide Oval practising for when AFL comes to the CBD.
Could they open any less gates, canteens and charge more for the alleged food?

Agreed, good call, know a few people who went to get food and drinks and walked away as the lines were too big. I hear they barely opened any??

Not sure what it was like on the eastern side of the ground, but they had the 'fast food' outlet open in the Bradman Stand (which looked like it was on it's last stock in the third quarter of the reserves) and half an outlet open in the western stand. The catering was a joke today.

Also noticed a fundamental flaw in the western stand in that all of the outlets are on level 1. Bit of a pain to get back down (and up again) from levels 3/4.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Yeah, they didn't think that through very well. If you're on the highest level, you've gotta walk all the way down to the ground level to get food. Bit of a pain, they really should've made a food outlet on a higher level. Can you imagine the line for food/drinks at an AFL game with 45k?!

fairly reasonable crowd then considering the two teams playing. Needs to be Port vs Norwood, to long of a drive in a stolen vehicle for the davoren park faithful
