Oh well, some of our supporters do the same thing uuuuDogs. Can't be too bitter about that.
It's just funny that some of Norwood's put on an air of superiority.
For all the slings and arrows, in the end it's only the results that count when we look back in the history books.

Fester, I love your passion for you footy club and know that in the heat of battle we say things we probably shouldn't. I guess I was just disappointed that there were young kids, including your own I assume, that probably shouldn't be exposed to the language.

To be honest mate, the umpires observer sitting next to me was the one who had a go at you for what was said and mentioned himself that with young kids around, it probably wasn't appropriate.

Anyway, enough said on my part, no skin off my nose now. Like I said, I know and understand you passion for the Redlegs and that passion is a powerful thing.

I'm sure, like you say, if that situation should arise again, you'll passionately tell me to 'PI$$ OFF' again ;)

The game started out in true Centrals v Norwood blow for blow style. However as the game wore on, we lifted up a notch while Norwood had to rely heavily on Tony Dey for any play. The second half was all Centrals though as they did what they wanted, and Norwood just dug a bigger hole for themselves.

Paul Thomas had the Bob Quinn medal by 3 quarter time, though I was half expecting Norwood's best Tony Dey to get it. That chase in the 2nd quarter where he ran down the Norwood player and ultimately ended in a goal to us, was the play of the day. He was just everywhere all day. Could have had 6 goals but 3.3 was still a great effort for him. Great captains game today.

The umpiring, well Tony Dey, was a disgrace. He really wanted Norwood to win and did everything to help them over the line. How many times did he pull a free for Norwood out of his arse, not to mention the number of blatant frees he missed for us, or marks he didn't pay for us (at least 2 of which resulted in Norwood goals). The other two I barely noticed so 2/3 good umpires aint bad I guess.

On a side note, a great banner once again by the Centrals cheer squad, but they may need to proofread it first before putting it together

Was that the largish group sitting right behind Norwood's bench. They were comical. Every time a Norwood player got touched they wanted a free kick!

Heaven forbid you suggest Norwood were anything but gutsy, brilliant, outstanding and a quality outfit,

Feel the wrath now.

Fair call Big Phil, maybe if the umpires observer tells his mates to do his job properly then I'd be a bit calmer!

Yeah, no worries Fester, good call there I guess ;) :D

Mate, I could tell (and hear ;) ) some of your frustrations with the umpiring today. Particularly the one you fired up about (which BTW I agree with you on the non decision made) but I guess the problem was the umpire wasn't in the best position to make the call, there was a fairt bit of traffic to see through and Central did get away with one there.

And just for the record, and to finish this debate off, anyone who thinks kids dn't use that language at school or amongst themselves are dreaming. My kids don't swear in front of myself or other adults because I don't allow it. Hypocritical of me because I know I can have a REAL foul mouth, but as with all kids it should be do what I say, not what I do.

Central were just better on the day, I haven't flicked the panic switch yet and firmly believe that Nathan Basset will steer us to another succesful year culminating in a Premiership.

This time last year we only just had our first win, so i guess we are twice as good already!

Interesting to see the wording of Chris Gowans' report - misconduct?

So that is what an 'alleged head butt' is categorised as from a reporting perspective.

Will be interesting to see what unfolds with the new system here, I'd suspect he might get a game or 2 somehow.

Im just as keen to have a crack at any football teams ability/players but parenting ability should probably be left alone.
