Norwood were smashed. A few worrying signs I think. Not enough depth this year with the players they have lost.

Nope. Dunne was a late replacement and was better than half the Norwood side.

The way the power played Norwood won't have Phillips for much longer

Very disappointing crowd - looked bigger on TV

i thought the same thing

i agreed with paul thomas winning the bob quinn medal, (don't always agree with the best on ground winners) not because he kicked 3 goals but because he kept repelling norwood when norwood were attacking especially in the 2nd term

i thought it was an absorbing duel in the first half & central kept going while norwood dropped off the pace a bit, if i barracked for norwood i wouldn't be too concerned given the fact of big name players missing from them today & they would no doubt make a big difference....i thought it a little ironic that m.westhoffs goal was in an almost identical position to where his brother had missed 48 hours earlier

i thought the crowd of 6,328 was good & for most of the day norwood fans seemed to have been more vocal until 10 minutes into the last term & then it was all central

i agree with philH's comments on lifefm with the fact the 5 is set it is just a matter of the order
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Well played Ce'ntrals, too good most of the day and certainly when it mattered.

Norwood were smashed in ruck, killed around the contest and made way too many basic errors to compete meaningfully. A fit Zorzi, Pfeiffer and McGuiness would have helped.

Next week becomes important.

Give them the premiership now. This competition is just so incredibly predictable.

Great win.
Thanks for the compliments to the Dogs TW. Given previous 'conversations' we've had, they're words well earnt.
I only really got to see the last term.
Now, what did the Gowans boys do this time? I got an angry text from a Norwood supporter saying they each should get six games.

There is no way on Gods green Earth there were only 6k there...With the folks who had ADF IDs getting in for free, there must have been a bit of a mis count...I reckon it was closer to 9-10k
As for Norwood...to much faffing about with the ball hand-passing to flatfooted players/at teammates feet/behind teammates who decided to run...all seemingly coming off half back only to turn it over to a hungry(ier) Centrals...the bloke behind me was going spare about the umps, but the Legs were their own worst enemies today IMHO...take nothing away from Centrals of course, they were hungry and vicious in attacking the ball! WD Dogs.
Dogs ruckman had a blinder, Norwood had no ruck effectively.
A very disappointing display from Norwood, next week is not just important..it is crucial now:(
C'mon you Reds....Adelaide United = its just like watching Brasil!!!

A great game for the first half, typical of what we can all expect from a Central vs Norwood game of recent times. Hard, physical with neither side getting a long way ahead. Umpiring was a little bewilldering at times for both sides.

However, in the second half it was all Centrals! A great display of why they have been so successful in the last decade. Too good on the day :(

OBSERVATIONS!!!!

I WAS WRONG Matty Westoff's first quarter (when the games on the line) was BRILLIANT!!!!! set up a great first quarter for the dogs.

NORWOOD EAT IT, SORT YOUR LIFES OUT!!!!!

Sorry SANFL we are certainties for a top 3 spot

Was great to see Thommo win another ANZAC medal

Whoever yelled out during the last post (whether that be central or norwood supporter) i hope you got your head kicked in

Phillips was QUALITY today, first class performace

Of what I saw, I thought it was Pumpa's best contribution yet as a Dog.

That's the spirit.....when it all gets a bit difficult......just give up

Great performances from some blokes today with very few games under their belts......Sutherland, Milne, Dunne and Jarrod Schiller who showed Eagleton it isn't a couple of years pocket money with a bit of a kick and a catch......
