Your not sure who is going to kick goals for the Eagles, but have still tipped them by 6 goals. :? Ryswyk, who plays on a wing kicked 4 for North last week. Add Alleway, Gill and Stewart and there is some goalkicking options at North.

Having said that, and despite North fielding it's strongest side for the year, I think the Eagles will just sneak home. By all accounts they were pathetic against Sturt, so I'd expect a better showing this week.

Their performance needed to be seen to be believed. Godden described the standard of the eagles as Division 6 in the Amateurs. I think he was being a little kind. It was the worst performance I have ever seen in my whole life. If ever there was a suspicion of a team tanking a match then the eagles would have to have been investigated on that match against Sturt

Kane Cornes is playing in the WWT reserves and Apparently Daniel Stewart is straight back to port Power

It could not have been on form. He took a couple of nice marks early but he dropped a number later on. He didn't kick a goal in a team that dominated inside 50s.

I don't know who should come in to replace them but....Day, Irons, Rayner, Suttcliffe, Bock are not up to league standard

I am surprised about your comments about North. They should have beaten West first game, very unlucky, they were poor against South and very good against Port. North are the only team that have pushed Westies so far.

I am absolutely astounded that no-one was dropped from last week's team.

Does that suggest Godden believes that those who played are at fault & he's giving them the opportunity to prove themselves or does he believe that there is no-one in the ressies capable of performing better?

If either of these scenarios are the case, he has lost the plot IMHO.
The INSIPID showing last week suggested that @ least some changes needed to be made.

If Day starts in the forward line tomorrow, Godden has lost my support as coach of the side.
I liken Day to Peter Caven, in terms of where to play him (not in terms of ability because Caven was far superior IMHO) but...

Day (if the club is going to persist with him in the 1's) the he is a far more realistic option in defence because he can run AT the ball rather than having to provide a target or take a grab. Also, his lack of pace finds him out in attack but this aspect can be covered somewhat in defence because he doesn't need to be infront of his opponent.

I will be a VERY interested observer (& a vocal one) @ Propect tomorrow.

If we are served up another pathetic display like last week (against a mediocre opposition, lets face it - North are no Centrals, Norwood or Westies) then Godden is in for a tough time throughout the year. I hazzard a guess not only from myself but a number of disgruntled eagles fans.

Before you Northy fans fire up about the 'mediocre' quote, I believe there are about 4 or 5 teams (mine included) that are similarly average.

Interesting to see T.Miles the former Eagle at Full Back for North on the weekend. Maybe North supporters could explain further. Has Todd being playing down back in previous games, how has he been going in 2011 so far.

I was going to ask Eagles supporters about him, he impressed the hell out of us at full back last week, smart mind, good body and hard at it. Played very good footy.

Has played back occasionaly for us, but has played forward more when not in the ruck. Just a little surprised to see him named there. The match up of Hentschel vs Miles could be a good one.
