I think the Crows are playing at AAMI that arvo too.

Yeah, smart move as Geelong v Collingwood is on Fri night which is a lot more appealing for football fans than Crows v Suns.

Aww, and just as I was looking forward to seeing the Phwoar! pumped by Carlton in their Double Blue clash strips

Looks like West v Williamstown might play the curtain raiser instead which disappoints me as I'd rather go on a road trip and watch them at the G before Collingwood and St Kilda.

The amount of people that follow Sturt & Carlton, actually may have made this game a success....

Carlton will just provide Port it's biggest crowd for the year (excluding hoedowns) like they did last year. They better not tarp the seats....

Glenelg/Carlton seems to be a more common combo.

Yeah, especially around my age bracket (mid/late 30's). Kernahan is the main reason.

About time they got blamed for something as anything to do with their club's constant failures is everyone elses fault.

It was probably North Adelaide and Geelongs fault for the two Port clubs latest losses.
Oh hang on........

All very well for you to say so, with respect. However if this is your club/clubs choice then it is up to them to get the whole thing right as compared to their first disgraceful half arsed attempt. How can this "divine" merger ever be taken seriously with the planning that we witnessed from the Norwood pantomime?

Get what right, the hour between the games? That was a ridiculous AFL edict. And interesting that I think the gap between the West Adelaide match and the Showdown was only about half hour. Port pushed to have the match as a night game so the SANFL could be more normal but it was rejected.

And the double-headers have less to do with making money and more to do with a long-term strategy of bringing the two supporter groups closer together.

No-one says it will happen overnight, but it will happen.

If Sturt are hosting a game at Unley it's up to them to make sure everything is at a decent standard for players, coaches and supporters. So if our 2 headed cousin wants to have a curtain raiser it's up to them to set the same in place. Norwood obviously had some very real concerns and the obvious lack of regard or forethought concerning their basic requirements was insulting.
So my point is that it is up to your club to set this in place, not SANFL, not AFL, it's up to the PAFC! If you want it then make sure its properly organized and thought out and not some sort of navel gazing half arsed experiment. It's called due process and respect.
Stuff knows what you'll do with the "clean stadium" you need so badly if this is how you organize things.

Norwood's "basic requirement" was changerooms and coaches box. It was West Coast who said no to using theirs, so perhaps Norwood should have asked them about it first. But no, it's just sooo much easier to throw a hissy fit and point the finger at Port Adelaide.

Right, so at your homegame we should have made arrangements to have a coaches box?

I doubt you were ever real mate.

C'mon CP - you know that beenreal will defend the undefendable no matter how much he is losing.

I think by my calculations beenreal is the last of the Port supporters on here not to have conceded that the rest of us are right?

Come on Moderators - get rid of these rubbish comments about who's homegame it was at Adelaide oval in 2010 FFS.

There are 2 Coaches Boxes at Football Park, one for the Home Team and one for the Away Team. West Coast said no to using theirs ON THE DAY, so what were Port Adelaide supposed to do, build you one? ](*,)
