Whats the thoughts out at Para Hills in regard to your slow starts ? We had 3 goals on the board before you guys kicked into gear and steamrolled us from there and we barely troubled the scorers after that....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Whats the go with you Portland and North Haven boys. Just spoke to a few of the lads and Shaun Hinsley and Damo McCulloch are heading back to Portland, from what was told to me. Damo has a new gig with his work and wants to play higher with his mates and Shaun is following him back like a lost sheep.

Marbles will be happy, a couple of players to strengthen his C grade

They wont play C grade but good B graders. Will be handy inclusions next week if Havens give the clearances through early next week as hoped by Damo and Shaun. Might make your A grade if you get a few injuries. With all the big names back though soon, you will have some depth at the Thunder now, even though the B's and C's are shockers at the moment

The horse or horses must have changed their minds then in the last 24 hours or so............(or have they) ;) The same horses were in the barriers at Oakbank and ready to fly down to the finishing post to collect their clearances on Wednesday. Those extra incentives to remain a Magpie, might have worked then ;) ;) - still banking on the Thunder to be their new address  - Am wondering if the horses are being confused saying nay nay nay nay, in the mounting yards but really mean give me some fresh, fresh, hay from the Thunderdome

Not exactly missing Marc or his entourage of delightful and tremendously engaging family members, and we get the feeling he wont be back anytime soon. I am sure that you and your old club would have missed him and also enjoyed that same entourage, in much the same way. He hopefully is enjoying his stay at one of the 24 other clubs that he has trained or played with this year although as we all know, that is likely to be short lived, and a change only just around the corner. There could well be 3 or 4 other clubs to have the same enjoyment that we have all had with the great man and his entourage at a club anywhere in SA, sometime soon. They will also enjoy his great company, and that of the entire family as well for a good 6 or 7 games.

What can a club truly think when this type of player rocks up at the club? Surely you wouldnt actively pursue a player like that. Not good for a club or side trying to build?

it is a bit of a tricky possition to be in i think in the circumstance you dont say your not welcome but just make it clear no money will be changing hands and you are to make the player work up through the grades thats just my point of view, obviously others have a different one would be interesting to see what other peoples thoughts are

We had the pleasure of Mr Cox committing to us a couple of years ago. Lasted about 5 weeks into the season before he started his annual pilgrimage. The annoying thing about it is he seemed so sincere.

From a club point of view, when recruiting is over and the list looks pretty right - to then lose a player of his obvious ability can be pretty hard to swallow.

About 15 clubs have enjoyed Marc and his delightful entourage now, for that 5-8 game period. Can not see too many clubs being that silly again however unless they are either stupid or really stupid. The game is up.
