If its the yellow and black team? then yes but going to have to disagree with you since I played with them for the past 10 years up until 6 months ago! half that team is made up of NEKCC boys these days good bunch of guys and so are Piston Broke, who have won about 8 out of the last 10 seasons , Im predicting you guys to meet them in a final and be good to see them get knocked off.
All good fun :D

So after 3 rounds the safooty DT comp is starting to settle. Big news to date is DT gods un-god like performance at the foot of the table. Lucky for Cougar we have Rita and Jaz to hold him up. Other newsworthy news is DJ Leni unluckily in 8th position. With the exact same points and percentage as Mannos Back in 7th and a far superior alphabetic rating DJ Leni should be 7th. Lastly anyone know who Boobs is? Better not be junior pidge FFS.

Unless they subpeonered(?) some close circuit television footage from the grassy knoll, im at a loss to work out what evidence would be available six weeks later that isnt available a week later. I know you have mates on the exec and understand better than i do the work they put into the comp and hate it when keyboard heros like me get stuck into them, but in this case they were way off the mark.

Auto,
Just to let you know the Association (Exe) doesn’t suspend anyone. The Standards Committee decides if an event should be referred to a tribunal or even what action should be taken and then reports it to the Executive. The Executive will then advise the Tribunal Committee. The Executive can report a player, but again it can only refer to a tribunal, it can’t suspend a player. The Tribunal is separate to the Executive. Anyone that has a position on the Executive can’t be on the Tribunal Committee.
Once a matter is referred to Tribunal, a 3 person panel will be put together to hear the case. The Tribunal will (and needs too) make sure that each party has the chance to present their case. I believe (not 100% sure) that each side is allowed to postpone once. It’s the old case of everyone is not guilty until proven otherwise.
There is a process, regardless if we agree or not with the process, it has to be followed.

This is the way i understand the process to happen.

Thanks MJ. Firstly is this standard practice to not have a tribunal till weeks later and if not what went wrong this time?

Auto,
It does take a little time for the process to work. I know in the case of the semi final report, the head of the standards committee didn’t get the report until the Tuesday night following the semi. It was then sent out the 3 standard committee members on Wednesday. It then took a couple of days for them to get back to the head of the committee. The head of the committee would then advise the Executive of their recommendation. So by this stage the Grand Final would have started.
As to when the Executive advised the Tribunal Chairman, I am not sure. Once the Chairman knows a hearing needs to happen, he would need to find 3 people that could sit as well as trying to find a night that both parties can get together to hear the case. At this point I also believe the events from the Grand Final would have taken place. This may have caused the Chairman to delay things until further information come to light or even the Executive might have delayed telling the Chairman due to the events of the Grand Final.
I guess that the cases in question might be outside the normal because it was at the end of the season (Well at least the Grand Final events).
Normally (Right or wrong) the process dictates that it near on impossible to get a tribunal arranged before the next game, so I would say that it’s normal that anyone reported would still be able to play the following week.
With the cases in the semi and grand finals, I think a number of things meant that the hearing was held well after the event but I am only guessing on that fact. So i guess that this wasn't a nornall case.

A big thanks to Grave Digger for hosting the Carnival side reunion last sunday. Although i couldnt stay long
it's always good to catch up with these blokes, and a relief because normally when we catch up it's 3am in the morning
at the Woolshed and i have had a gut full of p!ss!

Also a big thankyou to Tige ( Glenys can you pass this on pls ;) ) for making up the Carnival books with
all the stats and information about the recent carnival. I have no doubt it cost you alot of personal time and effort.
It never ceases to amaze me how much Tige does for the Association, as most of it goes unsaid
and largley un-noticed. But a few do and we appreciate it emensely.....

(Ok Typo. corrections plse ;) )

I like your proposal Typey. It's got a bit of ironing out to occur, but I like it. ;)

To be brutally honest, anyone who gets reported in a game of cricket has clearly shown a disregard for the spirit of the game and deserves some form of reprimand. Ironing out the penalties for particular incidents is the key. ie; verbal indiscretions a warning/reprimand first instance; suspension of 1 match mandatory 2nd report, etc.

I was reported on one occasion and I can say quite categorically that I over-stepped the line of what is reasonable on the field & what is not. Certainly something I'm not proud of, but it happened. The reasons why are irrelevant. You take the field and carry on, you should cop a suspension. And I did. And I earnt it. :( I'm all in favour of a revamp of the system, and I think your proposal is a good base to start on Typey. ;)

ok ok ok ok , TEAM RITA last monday night got away with another win (dont know how)
team rita batted first........first pair of harry and azza(jnr harry ;) struggled abit , but made 29 (other team liked the self comentary by jnr)
second pair of , smithy and hoddo, 117 one week and 25 the next ..... smithy was not having a good time with the bat..
third pair was suposed to be baldo and phantom or carey but......carey broke his thumb (which I never got told of)
and some certain little phantom slept in (at 6pm) and forgot we were playing............ 8)
so baldo and they made smithy bat again  for one over , then we had a SUPER SUB save our a$$es.................
ENTER THE ONE AND ONLY TYPEWRITER   .
we made 39.... not alot but hey we now had a score.
BOWLING..............
YOUNG AZZA ...1st over , three wides and not much else...2nd over very very nice indeed took two wickets.
HARRY... 1ST OVER, very tidy over especially the one that nearly took my head off again..2nd over 3 wickets ....
hoddo....1st over and 2nd over wickets in both with a stumping from mwa....
smithy.... 1st and 2nd over ...... you animal....... destroyed the batsmen and two stumpings from mwa........
enter TYPEY.....1st and 2nd over ...hmmm interesting.... first ball nearly broke me little pinky then there was a bouncer or three (which we have to work out signals for ) and then they couldnt hit the ball.....oh yeah and another stumping by me ..
baldo ..1st over medium crap..... got hit for a six so bowled fast bowled him (ha) then bowled medium again.......
we WON..... we made just under 100 and kept them to jacks crackers..... there last pair were still in minus...........
so PHANTOM AND CAREY ?????????????? BIG SHOES TO FILL LADS .... THIS TYPEWRITER CHARACTOR IS NOT TOO SHABBY....
will keep you all informed as we continue this new journey through untested waters  and may team rita be with you all.
