I hope not. Would love to see our boys play at the MCG before the Collingwood v St Kilda clash.

Was it just me or after half time did they talk more about AFL issues then than game itself?
I remember Nat Caruso (I think) kicking a great grubber goal from near the boundary and they hardly noticed as it interuppted talk about the AFL substitution rule.

The commentary was appalling. About 4 times they mentioned that Aaron Fielke was Grant Fielke's son, which he isn't. Logan Hill was called Toohey all game, which is odd since we don't have a player called Toohey in the club. Marc Borholm was called Malcolm. But the constant discussion about AFL issues as the game progressed was disgraceful, insulting and bizarre. When the network that's running the competition can't even respect its own product, you have to wonder what's going on.

Did you think it would be anything otherwise, the game was simply nothing more than a space filler for an AFL based audience.

BTW - where are the finals (semis and GF) being played, or is that still TBA?

Very good chance in fact South ressies would beat Ainslie, Morningside, NT Thunder, East Coast, the guide dogs, GWS etc (well maybe not GWS).

What a stupid statement
not realy
When and out and out reserve grader (Kenrick Tyrell) is NT Thunders #1 ruckman, when top 3 B&F player from an ACT side (fianlists) can't even make 2010 Glenelg's trial game reserve grade sides, the depth of the teams from the NEAFL and Canberra and Sydney competitions has to be questioned.
I give South reserves a good chance of beating those sides whilst the best players in South reserves won't be as good as the top players in those teams, their "depth" players will be much better and I reckon South's reserves team will be fitter.
I fully acknowledge that each of those sides have a few very good players who are SANFL league standard, but I also know their bench palyers are SAAFL amateur level - would struggle to make SANFL reserves.
Hence my statement.

You are missing the point. Am Gay was suggesting because a team had a ruckman that was an SANFL reserve player that he and the rest of the team was of inferior quality. This was plainly silly given one of their players is an recently retired Crow champ who would probably get a game with any of the teams competing in the Foxtell Cup.
Anyway for what its worth Pumpa performed very well on GF day and his efforts were instrumental in getting us back in the game. Not bad for an out and out reservist
