Nothing is more tragic than some of the dire threads that appear on a footy board during the off season. Best flamin' commercials? You're kidding me The only good thing about commericals is that you can go and put the kettle on.

As for Fashion Chick's ancient ad, maybe we should start calling her Model T Chick ha ha. Always thought she was a *ahem* model citizen nyuck nyuck.

It would be good if VB would concentrate more on making TV commercials and less on making beer. I have never seen ads so good for a product so dismally bad.

By the way - has anyone had the old style VB? Is it better than the normal VB crap?

There was an old Tooheys commercial I always remember.

The West Indies are playing a representative side and are on the verge of winning yet again.

Mike Whitney comes out bat and the jingle starts:

"How do you feel?"
"When you face big Joel on the final ball"
"How do you feel?"

Whitney manages to play a shot out towards the boundary and they take off for the running
runs. It's a tight finish and the stumps are hit, but they're home!

"How do you feel?"
"You feel like a Tooheys or two!"

Does anyone remember the Community service ads they used to play during Winky Dink about Germs and Vitamins? Goes something like...


"Vitamins and minerals can help you on your way, we're in vegetables, dairy food, meat and fruit, just ask your mum today...Im vitamin A, i'll help you see, I'll help you grow, germs dont like me..." ( i think you get the idea, for those that remember!)

For some strange reason I remember this part of that ad:

"Get out in the sunshine, get vitamin D, good for your eyes, good for your bones, here's Vitamin E"

It would have been on in the early-mid 80's. Who can remember the colours the different vitamins were???
