If its not an inconvenience for you Centurion, why harp (dwell on continuously) so much about the wait for the the main game
listen, again....or should I say read closely, every year I watch all the people who go to the March, then afterward they go home, the game starts MUCH later, if the MAIN game started sooner, MAYBE they might stay & we MIGHT get more people to the game, sorry for trying to promote the game, your mob included. I personally don't give a stuff, I am not 80 and tired at 4pm. get it??????????????????
Hi Centurion, I am a returned serviceman who will be at dawn service, at the march and then, after many years of waiting, will be at the game, both rezzies and league. By the time I go home I reckon I'l be absolutely rooted, not to mention well oiled. This is the one day of the year that people such as myself really are made to feel special and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of opposition supporters, Maggies as in the case of last years game at the Parade, who offered me a beer. Not to mention one guy who came up to me with his young son and said "thankyou". Brought a tear to my eye.
I fully understand your sentiment, it is very valid, and whilst I am not of the 80 year old bracket, being from the Vietnam era, I know that the day will test my stamina. But hey, small price to pay I reckon.
Thanks again mate for having a thought for others but don't worry, we'll make it.
