So if he's not carrying a few niggles, I dont understand the theory of "resting" him. What happens next week then? Surely would have to play for the Bays, as I wouldn't have thought he could selected again for Port having just been dropped tonight. Lunacy.

Edit: Just noticed Bays have the Bye next week. Might end up playing for South Ressies then. ;)

This is a very hard match to pick. Could go either way. Maybe Norwood at home just 13 pts.

LOL, not sure what the problem is ... he's a Port player, they pay his wages, so have every right to dictate whether he plays or not.

IIRC, he hasn't played a league game for the Bays for at least half a million years ... ;))

That is a disgrace if Port have prevented him to play.

No injury, out of form (so Port say).....wouldn't you think he would go find his form again with the Bays??

No wonder Port are a joke and cant attract more local support.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Peter Rhode said on AA that whilst Kane may have wanted to play for the Tigers, in the end the Power decided the rest was best and that it wouldn't have been fair to the Bays players, some of whom wouldn't have met Kane, seeing as though he hadn't trained with them at all.

It is an interesting one, especially considering the Tigers have the bye the week after so how is he going to show form to get back into the Power line-up. He may end up having a run with South's reserves which probably wont help him in regards to finding form for AFL football.

legs by 60+ our form patchy at best
with no disrespect to other tiger fans who are fuming at the power regarding kane 1 player will not turn our form around back in the early to mid 2000s kane clearly stated he wasnt interested in playing for glenelg.

With the PAP smears now having a vested interest in the performance of one particular SANFL team - and thus in the relative performance of all SANFL teams as a whole - it would be fairer to the Bays players and indeed the rest of the SANFL if they kept their moral stance to themselves.

That raises a really interesting point. As Port are now one club, would this supposedly justify any movement of Power players between AFL and SANFL ranks that favoured the Magpies' cause?
