i also heard from a Walkies bloke that willoghby killed them last week, but wasnt in the best?? bit of funny buggers going on?? or did the advertiser justscrew it up like they tend to do?

PNU will be 4th-6th imo

Teaoby- even if Igs tried as hard as it liked, I doubt very much a player of Willoughby's quality could fly under the radar in this grade of footy. I have no doubt that Iggies have high expectations of him this year and having seen their first 2 games of the year, I am sure he will live up to those expectations.

ROCS are very strong and will leave daylight between themselves and the competition.

Yes 2 rounds in and its all over. Shut down the Div 2 comp and hand the cup to Rostrevor. They may be very strong but it is extremely rare for any amateur league team to have daylight between themselves and the other 9 teams. Little bit of an over statement mate. Perhaps wait till they have played everyone before you put them on that kind of pedderstool. Would daylight suddenly turn to darkness should Mr Litster suddenly get seriously injured?

Reports I have had from ROCs suggest they think they are around about the same as last year. Wouldn't think that would set them up to dominate.

Agreed. They may well even improve and gain promotion to the top flight but there is no way that the hirachy of the club would share Stealthys rather over optimistic view of domination. All their real challenges will be still yet to come and there is a lot less daylight in the months of June and July to work with ;)

Interesting, saw them play on the weekend, personally I didn't think they were as good as last year, but junior Bulls disagrees, he thinks they have improved with extra personnel into the team. I think they are definately top 3 material, based on Uni not being as strong as last year, who knows what happens from there - injuries generally play a huge role.

Same for mine. All 5 home teams to taste sucess in front of their home crowds. Some great match ups in there as well.

For sure, the oil companies wont like the match-ups either.

Just had a look few some of the team listings. It looks as though most clubs have someone with league experience playing. Would it be a fair assumtion to say if you don't have those higher level players that you would struggle in div 1 and 2. Or has every club got them?

I would have thought that most teams would struggle if you took a couple of their best players out. Obviously some clubs have greater depth than others and could cover losses better but everyone would be effected.

I don't think there is that much of a difference from my expereinces. Obviously it helps a lot if you have these sorts of players, but i know from my years at gaza we didn't have any league experience from 04 up until 08, and we were conistently top 3 in div 1. there are definitely some quality players around that haven't made it at sanfl level, but are definitely good enough too. and so if you have enough of these sorts of players in your side, having the league experience wouldn't really matter.
but a good point though.
