See you next CK. Bit of a grudge match after the mud we sling at each other. Pretty important clash too. I reckon whoever loses can kiss top four goodbye....after Round 3! How rude is that!

Definitely a grudge match. Should be a close game that's for sure. I think I may have you with the Rioli suspension. Well I hope so.

Bit harsh with kissing top 4 goodbye so early on though mate, but I'm sure your good enough to fightback from a 1-2 start and soul searching over the three week break

Hogg Premier not quite living up to it's name at the moment we have three coaches under 2000 a game which sees us behind Divvy I and perhaps still IV as well. Hondo and Squeakeroos lead the scoring at the moment in a league where 2100 won't be getting you a victory as The Cubman would attest. Mr Football tops the ladder thanks to a Carlton like dream opening couple of weeks and the surprise is perhaps the below par scoring of Woodys Dropkicks who have yet to record their first Premier League victory. Woody is too good to stay down too long though and he should bounce back.

Congrats to Dusty Tunnels for his first Premier League win and The Q Man also recorded a fine win against Poon Army who dropped out of the top eight. Gingernuts has enjoyed an excellent start to the season but it could all come crashing down against Hondo is in Red Hot form at the moment. Duncs and the chardies are struggling at the moment and Boxhead is fairing little better. Those three sides look relegation bound already and it's only April.

sacrificed 2 trades this week. I excpet this squad if they all play to score in excess of 2000. Should be able to knock off Boxhead quite easily ;)

Round 3 Previews

REBCats vs. Dusty Tunnels

Having been in Hogg Premier from the start I have managed to hold my own and make the top four in every season but this year it has been much tougher. This week the REBCats face a second very tough match against CoverKing’s Dusty Tunnels who are now licking their lips as a result of the Rioli suspension. With Cyril out and so many players in common, the Tunnels have the advantageREB’s Tip – Dusty Tunnels.

Hawkeye vs. Darksiders SCE

Got a call from Woggy today and he has some plans in place to get his side onwards and updwards. It’s a steady process REB he says (although tellingly he did ask how the relegation system works ha ha). But steady won’t cut it against Darksiders who look pretty dangerous early in the season. Hawkeye is another side to miss Rioli so that probably ends Woggy’s chance to cause the upset. Besides, he let me down last week! REB’s Tip – Darksiders SCE.

chardy socialists vs. FOOTYLEDGENS

Cub finally gets a break here as his FOOTYLEDGENS take on one of the least threatening sides in Hogg Premier in the perennial strugglers chardy socialists. Chardie isn’t the worst coach going around but at this level he is always going to be looking over his shoulder at the relegation demon. Cub’s Demons to win.REB’s Tip – FOOTYLEDGENS.

Hondominators YSCC vs. The Ginger Ninjas

It’s only taken him four years but Gingernuts is finally cooking with gas instead of cooking with spuds. Gingernuts has been a surprising bolter in the first two rounds this season but playing against the mighty Hondominators is another matter entirely. Hondo will have a few more anxious moments than he has had in the other two games but come Sunday night he’ll remain undefeated. REB’s Tip – Hondominators YSCC

Boxhead United vs. dunKsKrew

It’s only Round 3 but already things are looking a bit desperate for Duncs and The Real Number 3. These two sides have been amongst the ‘group of three’ that are struggling to crack the 2000 mark which is about two hundred points short in this league. Duncs has foolishly come out and stated that he has been active in the trading period so I reckon that Boxhead will do the same and maintain the slight edge that he holds over DunKsKrew REB’s Tip – Boxhead United.

Blue_Guns vs. Mr Football

In one of the matches of the round these two unbeaten sides gets to show which one is fair dinkum with perhaps the loser here being labelled a pretender after a couple of soft opening couple of weeks. Mr Football has been the better scorer so far and appears to be back to his best form from a couple of years ago. I reckon the Blue_Guns will suffer a big score dip as the Bluebaggers will won’t be able to score anything like they did against the Gold Coast last week with his speculative picks in Duigan, Yarran and Curnow all looking a bit vulnerable this week. REB’s Tip- Mr Football.

Woodys Dropkicks vs. Far Q

Woody’s Dropkicks haven’t gotten warm yet this season and with a number of rookies not scoring that well and four Kangaroos in his lineup even the loss of Rioli for Q Man won’t be enough to tip the scales. Woody normally picks a very solid squad but appears to have overlooked the golden rule and that is to back your gut instinct. I know he has selected at least one player in his lineup at the advice of another Hogg Premier coach who the jury is definitely still out on. The same goes for Woodys Dropkicks. REB’s Tip – Far Q.

Poon Army vs. Squeakeroos DTC

Squeaky is a bit like Pup at the moment in turning back the clock to a more successful season after spudding it up a little last year. The Squeakeroos are now back in the sort of form that saw them clean up BERBA (aka Darcy) for the 2009 Division I premiership. Meanwhile, the Poon Army’s fortunes appear to mirror those of the Essendon Football Club so while the Bombers are up and about so are the Poon Army. For me this is the match of the round but I reckon that Squeaky might just live up to his name and Squeak by the Poon Army even though the Bombers are playing their bitches the Saints. REB’s Tip – Squeakeroos DTC.

Woody has about $300K in the bank so I'm betting he burns a couple of trades this week making some changes.

Can see Bartel having a huuuuuge game and Grimesy is capable of 120-130. Nervous Sunday awaits you two...

I would still be unlucky to lose. 146 needed from both players is a huge huge ask

Nah mate I'm gone. Goodes vs. ROK sunk me last night and you got tons from Jack and Foley. You deserve to win this one. I was struggling as soon as Cyril got rubbed out and my point chasing efforts appear to have been in vain. While many coaches are scoring less this week you have maintained your start so not much luck for me there.

There will be much head scratcing at REBCat park over the next few weeks. :(

Well played Ginger

Stupidly in hindsight I put Yarran on the bench and let 61 points go by playing Tapscott on field for 50.

That said, you have a very good side and a much better midfield bench than mine. I really think ignoring Curnow was stubbornly wrong in hindsight.

Would have been a little difficult watching Everitt rack up a ton.
