South had 29 scoring shots, last week they only had 13 but kicked a bigger score. Gotta love the quirkiness of our game.

It would have been a travesty if North had got up to win in that last qtr. Sounded like South were the better team all night bar a 10 minute spell in the 2nd qtr.

Someone needs to coach them in kicking straight though ;)

Yeah, he's going alright for them so far isn't he HOORAY PUNT.

He was good through the trials as well kicking a few and now consecutive bags of 4 to start the minor round.

He could win the Ken Farmer Medal if South can continue their improvement. When was the last Panther atop of the League goal kicking chart at seasons end? Danny Del-Re perhaps?

My take on the game, South should have won by plenty.

South as a club put on a fantastic show tonight, its a real pity the weather wasn't like last night otherwise they would have got 3k more and had many coming back for future games as a result.

Catering was great, my main complaint previously, the PA was very good tonight, at the perfect volume, plenty for kids to do, good choice of food and beer.
Because of the weather I don't think it got them far but they did all they could, my congratulations.
Chalk and cheese with the crap we put up with Prospect week in week out.

Special Note to North's Under 18s who won 106 to 6 (0.6), nice percentage booster!

PS North's guernseys looked great but the fact that it made the umpires have to wear an alternate "guernsey" is a bit of a joke!

Its good to see South finally on the improve, clearly its only one win, yet it breaks a long losing streak and the look of our side although still pretty raw suggests that our group has some good potential to move forward, despite the goals to points ratio and the fact that we lost a number of the rucking contests we were able to win the midfield and dominate which is a huge area of improvement for the club. Few outside of SAFC supporters would have picked us to win tonight which makes it all the more satisfying!

North are clearly having their issues, yet I would hardly press the panic button just yet, South knocked off Norwood early in the 2010 season at the Parade after Norwood had lost several games and Norwood went on to go pretty close to the flag, North could quite easily do the same. Time will soon tell no doubt.

Go you Panthers! 8)

south dominated the majority of the game, they should have won by 6-8 goals yet bad kicking could have cost them the match, south pace was a big worry for north (it was for wwt last week) & they'll push a few more teams as well during the year & the best thing for football is there will be no 'east game' this year.....wundke & stribling looked to be enjoying the victory
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I've just seen the score, and well done Panthers.

Last week I saw West play North is a great game, North unlucky to be beaten. This week West down last year's premier by 11 goals and North go down to last year's wooden spooner. 2011 promises to be an intriguing year.

Spot on, the best variety of food in the league, bbq equal to Wests, the lights were good, the PA was turned down to just above normal talking volume, the great facilities South have make it worth the drive down to Noarlunga, pity the weather didn't hold out another 24 hours.

Great win....but to be honest with you, I thought we nearly kicked ourselves out of the game. I

Still, it was wonderful to beat the Roosters.

Wundke, Stribling have be great recruits for South. Stribling definately enjoying the freedom as a non-tagger as he was mainly at North.

Horne, Lyons, Stribling outstanding.

Like I have said at the start of the year...South with their pace will upset a few teams this year. They are young, fast and pretty slick with their handball and move the ball on well.
We had WWT rattled for most of the game last week. This week North just seemed unable to keep up with their pace.

Goal kicking is a big worry. We really should have won that game by 6 goals.

Overall, the night went well. Seemed a pretty good crowd but weather would have kept many away tonight.

The vocal support for South was really good to see too. Im sure it helped the guys at the end.

The low point of the night was I did not win the 10K :(

I must say....I really do enjoy beating North.

Centrals next week will be tough after their loss against West this week.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

We might not win a game this year.

Too many blokes in our team that shouldn't be playing league football or that our club has wasted too many years trying to develop as a league footballer.

Decent toilets and plenty of food and booze on sale throughout the night, wish our home-ground did the same.
