Didn't do pre season, was told by the coach you're in the squad just give me a couple good games in the 2's and you will get your chance, played B's last week got 5th best then spat it and left.

Is also the social secretary at the club so leaves the club in the lurch.

Where's big Ando lining up this week?

Sounds like a very similar possition Dammon was in with us trained with the B grade 1 night as hadnt been to many pre season sessions then next we new was on his bike to Haven, things like this happen in footy and it aint going to change any time soon. Big Ando is in the 2nds as far as i know

Just like when you left, you couldn't share the great vision that SOD had and just up and left

Since im certain most of Ando's power came from his mullet back in his playing days, could you suggest for me that he wear a mullet hair peice for old times sake
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

He was in our squad and I was certain he would of forced his way into the side at some stage because of good form and guys in the 21 losing their spot due to form/injuries. Now that he's going to Portland, would he play A grade there?

what was the reason behind him being left out of the A grade round 1 TDK, you would think your 3rd in the B&F from the previous year would get a gig in the first place any personal issues between him & coach / captain possibly ?

That would reduce the general IQ at the Dome to less than room temperature then . Not great as it is now

If they did have these guys X? I think the results last year speak for themselves. I think even if they did have these guys the result would be the same

CBC got the season off to a flyer last year, were very good early. Portland are reputed to be slow starters. Putting both those points together, and if CBC had last years team, I would go with CBC.

That's the beauty of a forum mate, we can all express our own opinion.

Portland over CBC. Interesting game with portland being perennal slow starters another early loss would surely damage the confidence the thunder have carried with over the pre-season. In saying that I think they will win and we will here alot more from them next week than we have this week. :D :D

Flinders Park vs Golden Grove This game will let GG know where they have to be to be competitive in Div3
Pooraka v SMOSH I know its only early but looks like i may b eatting my words re smosh
Mitcham v Para Hills Someone to swear in the crowd and Mitcham to walk off in protest. I couldnt help myself ;)
Seaton v Pembroke They really impressed me not sure who their ruckman was but he was very handy. Will handball the ball out the back and run
Portland v CBCOC Its great going into a game with the opposition thinking they have it in the bag. But in sayin that if i wasnt involved with CBC i wouldnt tip us....... But we all know a week is a long time in footy.

Same reason Hinso left us for you guys really - he didnt get his own way with us so he took off down the road.

No big deal, im actually surprised Alan didnt make the move sooner - he showed Haven a fair bit of loyalty really, especially with the rest of his family all seeing the light and joining us a few years back.

seem to be forgetting that hinso came from north haven

Via Port Districts if you want to be technical. Not sure how that makes any difference to the points being made anyway.

You blokes seem to be howling like sheilas about Alan moving to Portland for no payment, but think its quite alright for Hinso and Damon to jump ship because some cash was flashed their way. Maybe this is one of the side effects of paying guys who arent, or appear not be, fair dinkum - guys who have been around the place for a while get their noses out of joint.

I have no problem with any movement by Hinso, Damon or Alan, but ffs, let it rest !

Hinso is a North Haven junior player who played about 4 games at districts before joining Portland, the club are trying to get their former juniors back nothing wrong with that.

As for Damon and Lippo they made their choices for similar reasons and good luck to them both, was only disappointed the way Alan handled it.

Although Alan is different from his brothers it is going to be interesting having four Lipsons at the club on a Saturday night, I think I will have to venture down a watch that unfold.

Mate, i agree, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Haven trying to get back juniors. My point was that its unfair to have a crack at Alan when his reasons for leaving had nothing to do with money - lets be honest, Hinso wouldn't be at Haven if money wasnt offered. All good though, Hinso is a great lad and wish him well. I dont know Alan yet, but from what i hear he is a top lad too.

Saturday night could be very interesting indeed - hope our insurance company doesnt find out about all the Lipson's at our club, our premiums will sky rocket !

This weather may result in some upsets today.
Pembroke v Seaton

Surely the wet weather wont suit the Pinkney brothers.
Does this give Seaton a chance?
I wont change my tip though.

Portland won by about 10pts. Not sure what D Jarman is like as a coach during the week, but listening to his 1/4 and 3/4 addresses was suprising. Could hardly string 3 words together, the players were doing more talking then him. Hardly inspirational or motivational to his players when the game was there to be won

'burras up by 2 or 3 goals against Flinders Park :D

Hope number 1 for FP recovers OK. Most sickening broken leg I have ever witnessed...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

X RUNNA (or anyone who was at the game), can you give a report on the Mitcham/Para Hills game today. From what my mate told me PH in control for most of the game. Not the first time PH have lost out there in the dying minutes.
