AFL Ladder at the end of the season

Postby D14 » Fri Apr 08, 2011 2:37 pm

I was a little bored and decided to do the AFL ladder predictor. This is what I came up with...

Obviously I'm a little biased as a crows supporter but this is the way I'm likely to tip for the season and would love for it to end up this way.

I just had a guy at my work who is a port supporter go through the draw and he only had the crows losing 4 away games for the season, so if we win most of our home games I'm not too far off. On a side note I don't usually do too well in footy tips as I nearly always pick the crows and rarely pick the power or collingwood. I also have a soft spot for Richmond and always think this might be the week they get a win...

I find people in Adelaide are given an expectation by the media that their teams are far better than they actually are.

I've heard people questioned about the Crows and Port's best position this year, and heard anything from 4th (Crows) to 6th (Port). However, "best case scenario" and realism are two polar opposites.

Having a thread on this and the Crows winning 19 games just isn't realistic. 13 or 14, more like it. Yep, they play the Suns, WC and Bris twice. They still haven't beaten them all yet. I expect them to drop at least 1 of the 6 'gimme' games.

Even in their halcyon premiership years, Crows, Brisbane, Sydney and West Coast weren't able to get to 19 wins because of the travel/recovery.

I do believe that the Crows are well coached, but I do think you guys are sold a pup by the media here in Adelaide.
