Just heard Portland have just signed a massive recruit. A. Lipson is joining his 2 brothers out at Portland. I guess that evens things out now with Haven signing Hinsley and Damon. See you in a couple of years boys.

Can't believe he left because he didn't get his on way. I mean FFS spots are up for grabs and blokes are going to miss out each week, it's footy. There's no need to leave the club because you didn't play round 1 in the A grade, that's just crap. He was in our squad and I was certain he would of forced his way into the side at some stage because of good form and guys in the 21 losing their spot due to form/injuries. Now that he's going to Portland, would he play A grade there?

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

what was the reason behind him being left out of the A grade round 1 TDK, you would think your 3rd in the B&F from the previous year would get a gig in the first place any personal issues between him & coach / captain possibly ?

3rd best and fairest from 2009, didn't poll a vote last year.

Didn't do pre season, was told by the coach you're in the squad just give me a couple good games in the 2's and you will get your chance, played B's last week got 5th best then spat it and left.

Is also the social secretary at the club so leaves the club in the lurch.

Where's big Ando lining up this week?

Muffler wrote:Flinders park vs Golden Grove -Flinders Park were good on Sat so would expect them to win this one. 10 Goals
Pooraka v SMOSH - SMOSH have only heard good things about this this year. 6+ Goals
Mitcham v Para Hills - We can bounce back with a few more players coming into the team thisweek. Always a good battle with Para Hills never easy beats. 4 Goals
Seaton v Pembroke - Pembroke looked alright Friday night. They rely on a few players to do the work but can see them just winning this one. 2 Goals.
Portland v CBCOC - After watching CBC last week they were very average. They miss douglas and hegarty ALOT just to get those hard balls and clearences. Just on a side note a CBC A grader from last year who played B Grade last week during the last quarter of the A grade game went down to the other end of Norwood oval to abuse the Full back. Yelling at him his Mum's this and that and he is an Effing ....,(Im sure you get the picture). Once Pembroke got 2 goals in front halfway through the last quarter he went back to the grandstand. Pretty weak effort to sit behind the fence and yell this out if you ask me! Anyways Portland 10 goals +

Dont b so precious mate. Ive heard a lot worse. The full back was having a laugh taking it tongue and cheek no need to blab on about it on her. Sounds like you were more upset then the full back........ Unfortunately its gonna happen most weeks mate. Im sure the lads on the hill at Portland will be complimenting CBC on its private school background and colour of our jumper. Pretty weak effort by u to write about it on here.

Same reason Hinso left us for you guys really - he didnt get his own way with us so he took off down the road.

No big deal, im actually surprised Alan didnt make the move sooner - he showed Haven a fair bit of loyalty really, especially with the rest of his family all seeing the light and joining us a few years back.

Whatever the reason may be, we move on. If your so confident you'll meet us in 2 years great! I hardly think thats evens. Our gain far out ways what you guys have gained. Lipson isnt the only one from Havens that have voiced their interest to come over. Any way it's not a big deal ;) Would love to see the Ca$h Haven Poorland forum up and running again if we ever do play again in teh same Div. Cant see it happening though.

Sounds like a very similar possition Dammon was in with us trained with the B grade 1 night as hadnt been to many pre season sessions then next we new was on his bike to Haven, things like this happen in footy and it aint going to change any time soon. Big Ando is in the 2nds as far as i know

Just my opinion mate, if he isn't getting a game in a Div 5 side that up until a week ago was picked to come last i can't see him getting a run in Portlands A's. Im annoyed he left in the circumstances that he did but not bitter. I rate Al as a bloke and a player, I have spent the best part of 3 years defending him to his new team mates and brothers who didn't rate him. It was my opinion he would have played mostly A's this year but he didn't agree and left, good luck to him i hope he does play A Grade
