Yes I assume that would be why as well . It would be a player by player understanding with their employer so it's probably just as easy to have the ressies play the next day .

It was brought up at a meeting at Sturt last night. With the earlier start some players from both teams wouldn't have been able to get there in time after work hence the U16's playing.
:-? :-?
Obviously there wouldn't have been a problem if Port were playing Centrals! =))

LOL

Reserves players will have problems leaving work early. Fair enough. Only now, all the u/16s will have to leave school early on Friday, instead? Bizarre.

Or Norwood could just rock up at three quarter time, and play one decent quarter.

Jaensch or Martin maybe being called up to the Crows perhaps?

Would Sturt rush back in Tristian Gum after just 1 ressies game?

Gum will probably play.Unlikely Jaensch and Martin as they will get called up , Fittock not available as he got suspended for 1 game in the ressies .

Hopefully the one I am referring too is OK but lets just say the Docs have ruled him out.

Hate to say it but Sturt always give us trouble.
Will be happy to get the points in this one as we slowly develop a new side.
I think over the full season Sturt will struggle to make the finals but in early matches with not a lot of injuries and confidence still high anything can happen.

Prediction : Norwood by 127 points .....kidding ...14 points.

Reckon these two teams match up pretty evenly, perhaps even moreso this year with mostly runners in each lineup and not a great deal of quality big men.

I guess the Blues would be sweating on Crane, Cubillo, Martin, Jaensch and Gum .. 5 quality players there that I hope get up for the Blues, always want to test yourself against the best possible opposition lineup.

Can't predict a winner, so will just hope the beer is cold and easy to access, my boys get up, and Swanee goes alright.

Can we still have a kick out on the field at the 1/4 time breaks?
