But that won't increase the attendance Wedgie - as evidenced by Saturday.

Disband the Power. Magpies probably pick up 1,000-1,500 of "dis-enfranchised" supporters. SANFL doesn't have to prop up the Power. Gets a windfall from selling the second licence to New Zealand or PNG or Tasmania. Crows get total control of Footy Park. Adelaide Oval gets left alone.

THEY were the one's who 'did the dirty' (c/- Bruce Webber)
THEY were the supporters that wore the "F**K the Crows" T-shirts
THEY were the club that claimed 'The Creed'
THEY are the players that wear '1870' on their backs
- alienate 'neutral AFL' supporters

THEY are the club that 'stole' the History from the original club
- alienate their OWN

THEY are the club that can't get crowds & have to cover seats with plastic
- now alienate the TAX PAYERS of the state (re: upgrade of Adelaide Oval)

To cry 'foul' & moan about their treatment is a little rich, me thinks.

You do in fact, reap what you sow 8)

Agree with all, except the first point. Had SANFL allowed that move then it was a whole different story...

1 billion divided by 18 = $55,555,555.60

Yep, the AFL will give away $55M in TV rights and just drop a club off. The AFL will ensure there are two SA AFL teams.

Dream if you like but the Power are here for good.
PAFC. Forever.

Not sure about your TV rights calculations there.

Don't think it works that way.

18 - 1 + 1 with bigger crowds/interest/viewers = more money than current 18

Doubt the AFL will get that much Booney. English Premier League just got alot smaller chunk of change from Sky Tv compared to last time. Tough times apparently. More games doesn't mean more quality either.

The SANFL couldn't allow that move @ the time.
The SANFL wanted better conditions than the WAFL got for the West Coast Eagles.

Port & Norwood were always the model but...

The fact remains that Port voted WITH the other 9 clubs but ALSO did a 'secret deal' with the VFL.
You can 'dress it up' anyway you like... fact is, THEY did the dirty.
Stephen Trigg & Rob Chapman are SA Football Patriots

You're right, more like $100m as losing one team means losing a game so only 8 games instead of the ( soon to be 9 ) each week.

Then let the AwFuL cough up the readies to continue bailing them out. Don't see why the SANFL should pour money into something so the AwFuL can profit from it.

When the day arrives that the local AFL clubs own their own licenses, then I think that needs to happen, hopefully the SANFL will have enough spine to make it so.
