This league is a lot more competitive than I thought it might have been in the pre-season with some sensational scoring over the first two rounds. Buddy Franklin, the baby giraffes, Greedy Guns, Chicken Noodles and Nutkickers are all recording the sort of scoring that would not see them out of place in a much higher division. Suns of A Khunt is not far behind and Go Tiges looks like he has finally mastered this game at his third attempt after spudding it up over the last two seasons.

Premier League and league skipper FOOTYLEDGENS has yet to open his account despite racking up 2100 points a week which shows you the depth of talent in this league. At the bottom of the ladder it's looking like it is going to be a long season for Parky and pafc1870 and Big Al's Big Boys.

I had about six DOH-nuts Round 1, and didn't get time at work to fix it for round 2...

That being said, I'm pretty happy to have scored what I did with no changes since the day it opened.

Need to bounce back this week with a win and a 2200+ score, having Goddard as captain and Lower and Kraks subbed out hurt me last week, Have stuck with Goddard as skipper. Should beat cellar dweller pafc1870 though ;)

Victory is mine says my mate Stewie as his Go Tiges had an unexpected triumph over Buddy Franklin in the top of the table clash in Divvy VI. Other top ranked casualties this week were the baby giraffes and the Chicken Noodles who ended up in hot water this week. Big Al opened their account with a big score and the Jrunks and the FOOTYLEDGENS also opened their accounts this week.

Parky remains stone motherless but is in good company with pafc1870 who has incorporated his average score into his team name. Very creative!

Proposals to bring in changes to the promotional and relegational structure of this and other divisions are being voted on in the 2011 Hogg Shield Election. Have your say by participating in the poll.

pels has rocked the known universe, at least the Division VI universe anyway racking up a massive score of 2309 while the majority of the Hogg coaches spent the weekend biting their fingernails. His top score earned him top spot on the ladder after unceremoniously dumping Stewie's Go Tiges off top spot. Greedy Guns continue on their winning way and the other amazing result was pafc1870's fine score of 2262 which was more than enough to belt the luckless FOOTYLEDGENS. I reckon there should be some drug testing going on this week at 1870 Park!

Included in this first post election ladder is the overall rankings. Our family league the Piglet Shield won't be included in the Hogg relegation system so that means this entire division will be Division V next year. The teams in green are the promotion candidates for Hogg Division IV in 2011. The teams in white are Division V candidates and the teams in red are the Division VI candidates. Next year it's all head to head so the teams in green will jump two divisions if they can score enough points this season. That won't happen again in the Hogg.
