So so Jabber - didn't really have a huge influence on the game, played as a key defender and did a couple of discipline things though.

Finished the game with the following stats:

22. A.Ainger: 3 Kicks - 1 Handball - 4 Disposals - 2 Marks - 1 Rebound 50

The announcer is just annoying , it's football FFS. The PA system though has improved and a lot of clubs could learn from that.

South are a big chance here but the lights are not flash IMO.

South better not have the PA on (and at 5000 decibels) during the game.
I could have got quite a few mates to come this Saturday night but they were so put off by this last time they went they want my report before they consider venturing back there for a game.

You know, I'd stand ankle deep in dog turd to watch South play, anywhere, anytime. Your love of your side should conquer all. I hate the PA to, but I'm stuffed if it's going to turn me away from supporting the side I love. Some SANFL supporters are lame.....
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

They're what you would call fringe South supporters and I really can't blame them as I must admit having a headache and being physically I'll for 3 days afterwards wasn't a pleasant experience for me either.
South should be trying to attract these people from the Southern suburbs not drive them away with the crap they dished up last time I was there.
Shame too as the place has excellent catering, I assume catering and marketing/entertainment ate run by different people as it's chalk and cheese.

PS Good to hear you go to every game these days!

The PA is annoying but to take ill and have a headache from 3 days is a bit of a stretch .

At least the Growl noise has gone ,how embarrassing was that.

Trust me, it was horrific on the hill, you couldn't talk to the person standing next to you when it was on, no exaggeration.

I thought the game was being played at Noarlunga, not Unley.

A rooster crowing (although I disliked it) at about 40 decibels for 2 seconds is nothing compared to several minutes of annoying useless inane dribble at well over 100 decibels.
North tried a bloke doing similar to South once and realized how bad it was and gave I up after one game and that was at less than half of the volume.
My kid as well as friends and locals never wanted to go to Noarlunga again because of it and I can't blame them having to have a day off sick 2 days later myself because of it.
Why not just buy their 3 supporters that enjoy it who sit in the stand nowhere near he speaker a couple of prepaid phones and I'll ring them up and talk crap to them during the game sparing the football fans the pain.
Mind you no phone could reach hose volume levels.

I hope South remedy this mess and make this Sat night a pleasant experience as they get one last chance with my kids since my son is in the mini league.

Wedgie South had the volume too high and too much announcer twice before it was scapped due to South folks not being happy so i understand your concerns. Can i suggest a quick phone call to the club and enquire about what they have in mind for the night may allay your fears....or not! All i know is the club is trying to appeal to younger people who as we know like noise, movement, action all the bells and whistles so i suspect there will be plenty razzamattaz, which we "older" folks find a bore. Come along regardless it promises to be a good game and it will be a first.
