I have heard very mixed opinions about him, varying from very good… to very unconventional and strange. Going by my visit yesterday I’m swaying towards strange  haha

I would really appreciate more opinions as I’ve been injured for so long that I’m not prepared to be messed around anymore. Is he worth my time and sanity?

Don't even try the jokes people, i've heard them all before  ... a groin injury.

I have had troubles since mid 2008 when i hurt it playing soccer. Only got diagnosed as OP after i destroyed it 2mins into a game at Portland last July. I've literally tried everything. Massage, Chiro, Acupuncture, and Reflexology are helping but they aren't going to fix it. I'm okay to do light training, but that's about it. I was recommended by our club trainer to see Rick as apparenlty he's helped a fair few of the Salisbury North boys (our trainer is Salisbury Norths Trainer)

... Help Me! lol

I was diagnosed with OP a few years ago and seem to finally have it under control now (after a good 2-3 seasons of being badly hampered by it).

Dedication to increasing your core stability should be your primary focus, beginning with activation and strengthening of the transverse-abdominis. You should be doing exercises whenever you have a spare minute - I'm doing them just sitting at my desk now. Forget massage, chiro, acupuncture and all the other mumbo-jumbo, the simple answer is that you need to transfer the stabilisation of your movement away from your groins and into your abdominal core.

A good physio should have told you all this!

Mate I would be heading straight to Steve Saunders or one of his other physios in the city. They are absolutely brilliant. You will struggle getting into to see Steve himself, but ring Saunders Ports & Spinal they're in the city and book a double appointment and ask for an OP specialist physio.
There is no doubt OP is core related but ensuring your on thr rightrrack is the first step with it. I have seen guys who say they are seeing a physio, but have thier core stregth excersies completely wrong. With this mob in the city they get out the ultrasound and actually show you in real time your muscels working in your core to make sure you are activating the correct muscles. It certainly gives you connfidence when you sit down 3-4 times a day and do you excersies knowing that your on the right track.

PS I'd be forgetting Rick Montiadis, OP treatment is WAY out of his depth. He's all machines and manipulation, which is totally not what your after.

Has any one else noticed how dogs go nuts over cat food but cats turn their noses up at dog food?

Why my workplace has decided to implement sensors for the lights in the dunnies that trigger after 6pm.

Working back late tonight, had to visit the boys room and the lights come on as I walk in ... great.

Had to sit on the throne for a while and suddenly the room goes dark.

How was I:

a) going to finish the job in the dark?
b) going to trigger the sensor from a cubicle?
c) get up and trigger the sensor before I had finished?

:-??

I'm getting rid of my old BBQ, which has become a palatial mansion for the backyard redbacks.

However, I need to know how or where I can safely dispose of the gas bottle, as you can't chuck those in the normal garbage or hard rubbish..

anyone?

nah, i'll look at getting a new BBQ down the track - the old one is too decrepid

It's been sitting out in the open through blistering heat waves etc... for the past 4 years unused, so I'm actually too scared to even touch the bottle in fear of being blown to smithereenies
