Good day out at Para Hills despite the results. Good crowd, good day, pretty happy atmosphere and some decent footy was played. Para Hills were just too good in both A's and B's. Having alot of players missing is no excuse because the ones that are selected and pull on the guernsey still have to contribute and many didn't. A few blokes, ones who played and ones who didn't for various reasons need to pull their heads in a bit and work a bit harder. We know its not gonna be easy, don't think we've said it would be, we know we were lucky to get out of Div 4 last year. We're all just going to have to put in a bit more. And practice goal kicking...

So FRED ya stupid twit, if having 13 A grade regulars not playing is considered hiding your players then yeah, we hid them..... Maybe concentrate on hanging onto the edges of the slippery dip as your mob of perpetual losers continue your slide down the divisions....

But we still had 21 players as they did and we just weren't good enough or polished enough. Simple. No excuses

The No. 21 for Para Hills who had been in a good paddock was clearly best on the ground playing across half forward and in middle got plenty of the football and rarely wasted a touch. each to their own opinion, but Jake Levy BOG not from what i saw, played a good game though. Thoughtg the coach did enough to earn the 3 votes.
By the way, Golden Grove welcome to the big time, no hiding players in divy 3.

For a guy who doesnt support Para Hills, you always seem to have something to say. And majority of the time its negative about either Para Hills as a club or individuals that play for Para Hills!!
I will agree with Fog Horn and Levy was best on ground for Para Hills. Didnt get as much of it as Goody or Thachy but was very clean with his disposal and ended up kicking 4 goals as well.
Golden Grove had there chances early but missing 3-4 absolutely gimmes walking into a open goal in thr first half really hurt there chances.

Choccies continue our slide down the divisions?? We've been in div 3 for 3 years & with that made the finals twice. Do some homework about a club before you trout off about? For 1 it took us 25 years too get lights you can actually train on all parts of the oval. We've not had everything handed to us.

go easy red strip roo, choccies was talking to fred not you guys, we have alot of respect for para hills and at no stage thought we would cruize thro this div.
Well done to you boys, showed us what to expect this year and we really have to work harder as choccies said.
It was a good game of footy, played in good spirits and a very good standard, 21 for you guys killed us and your ball movement was outstanding, it was just a shame we couldnt play under your new lights as i think it would have been awesome
good luck for the rest of the year and look forward to the return leg

Schimma my wallet thanks me for not putting on a bet with you. I will say that the match for the A's was a great one. You guys did very well with taking the opportunities and running with them like you did. I will say mate AGAIN like last year that, that B grade clyub ump you have has to go. Seriously mate even other oldies know when their time is up. This guy blew the whistle 10 minuets into the 2nd quarter for half time when a fire engine went past. Completey different sounds. Plus he would call "My Ball" from 100 metres away when the other ump was right there. It took him half an hour to get from one side of the ground mind you but come on enough is enough. Either tell him or the complaints will again start rolling in.

Wasnt a bad game Smosh were to good at the end of the day. Rae at full forward was to hard for us to stop, Cibich is the quickest man in the world, i thought thatch from para hills was quick but wow this guy can move, we had no one that could go with him. and Evans took plenty of grabs off half back, Smosh are a seriously good club and i can see there As Bs Cs Ds & U/18 being very succesful this year, was great to have a beer with a couple of the lads after the game aswell, looking forward to next time we play them

Well Portland started off well and could have been up by more then they were. Smosh made a few errors and Portland made them pay. No scuffles in the A grade, (but B grade and C grade there were a couple) A grade was played in good spirit and was a tough slog. Smosh kicked 7 unanswered goals from late in the second term through to 3qtr time. Portland jumped out with 2 quick goals in the last qtr but smosh replied most times. Both sides only had 2 on the bench after some early injuries. Better for Portland laslett, Cocchiaro was on Porplycia and both got in best for both clubs, Perkins in the ruck was far better the Vessali, Pederson is a good recruit and prior kicked 3 but I thought was well held for majority of the game. Depalma up forward was also handy. As for smosh cibich, rae and Porplycia were good along with Evans on the half back line.

Good signs for both clubs????
Umpires were average all day. 2 young guys did not affect result but made both sides frustrated.

Exactly right very frustrating but for both sides which is a slight positive, would not have wanted to be a forward in the first half as defenderes from both sides could have got away with murder. as for the Cochiaro Porpizza match up i thought Cochiaro got the better of. I didnt think Portpizza had a big influence on the game and IMO certainly wasnt in your best 5

Good day out at portland For the Lions. Take 3 wins away (and the D grade getting up at Broadview!) every day of the week, let alone against the local rivals! All 3 games played in good spirits, and the results going the right way ;-)

Whilst i understand some of your complaints re: b grade umpire, it was refreshing to have 2 b grade umpires umpire fairly. The occasional odd decision, but neutrality prevailing was nice. (I thought it was hilarious when halfway through the second quarter, a fire truck -sirens blaring- came out of the station, and the SMOSH B grade umpire tried to call half-time!).

A grade was a cracking game. Very high intensity throughout. The way Prior finished the game probably shows how good a job Jenkinson did on him in the first 3/4 of the game. Disagree completely on Porplycia. Thought he was pivotal in the outcome of the game, despite being targeted Physically by a number of Portland Players. Along with Evans, had him in our top 2...
Everytime i see him stilll can't believe how high Perkins jumps. Thought him and laslett were your best, and Depalma wasn't bad either.

Umpiring was a bit disappointing. In a game like that, you like to protect the player who wants the footy, not penalise them for getting the hard ball. Its like umpires love giving holding the ball, and will do it at every opportunity.

4 wins for Flinders, 3 wins for Seaton. Some good starts for some, and some not so good starts for others!

Seaton are a young side and shouldnt be underestimated. We have finally got a bunch of lads at the club who really want to be here (and finally F-ed Off the whingers and money hungry maggots that have been here over the last few seasons). If we can stay up this year we will only improve next year. The battle is to win enough games in this competitive div to be there next year.

Who F-ed them off ? :?
I heard they left on their own terms.
Still some whingers there that i know of that won't change.
