For me, best for west was Schmidt for his 4 quarter effort and Ezard was pivotal in the last quarter after a quiet day. For North, Ivens off half back and young Teasdale were impressive.
Thought Collins was slow in taking Fisher off Gill, who must have had a foot in height on him. Great game, pleasing to see attacking footy and no flooding.

Reluctantly, I have to give Ferguson this round 10-9, only because West came out on top, and Allers dropped a couple of marks he should have taken. If the next North v West game isn't on the ABC, I might have to fly down to see it.

Great call, great to see 2 captains going at it. Thought Alleway won the duel in the first half, with Ferguson bouncing back in the 2nd half. For me, Alleway just ahead in the match up. A credit to him as Ferguson is rarely beaten
