Lutz is a St Micks boys, but did the start of Pre season with portland and is now playing at districts so he is considered dead to the portland boys.

First time i'd changed clubs, wasn't too sure where i wanted to go haha.
But, i consider it game of the round, as i think it will be a close game between two good sides, and between two local sides! Should be a cracker.

Having a look at Pembrokes side it doesn't seem to different to last year and they had some pretty handy players. The big one is both Pinkneys are in which makes them reasonable straight off.

Think they will be pretty competitive.

Does that mean this year you wont have any games of the round as Districts have to travel a fair way each fortnight? Dont know if i share your view as to the closeness of the supposed game of the round. I think all the preseason hype about a certain side may take a big hit this weekend.

I see what ya mean, but that was just my opinion...and in my opinion the closeness adds to the rivalry, and a lot of the blokes know each other, etc; i dont see Districts having that with another side this year. As i say just my opinion.

I am willing to toss the coin on behalf of Salisbury Council and we can start the game at 6 and actually use the lights :D

The lights will be handy to use to get outta the carpark well after the game has finished at least....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I agree thachy you should start at 6pm not sure about you tossing the coin but.

I dont understand the choice of person to toss the coin they were of no help to para hills for the lights more a hinderance by withdrawing hard fought funds and putting them back into general revenue from what i hear. I reckon Tony Zappia would have been a better choice. But anyway real stuff starts 2moro good luck to the boys.

With my team Two Wells in the Adelaide Plains Football League having the bye today, I headed down to the Paddocks to watch my work mates side Para Hills take on Golden Grove. Very impressed with the standard of footy and by the large crowd on hand. Para Hills controlled the game after quarter time winning by 4 - 5 goals. Golden Grove had their chances in the first half but missed many gettable goals. The No. 21 for Para Hills who had been in a good paddock was clearly best on the ground playing across half forward and in middle got plenty of the football and rarely wasted a touch. It was an enjoyable afternoon with the late kicked off of 4.15pm a great idea.

Yeah, saw the game. Portland controlled the first half but just couldnt shake SMOSH, who managed to stay in touch. Brilliant 3rd term by SMOSH set it up for them, even with Portland coming home with the breeze. Reasonable game of footy to watch, without being spectacular. SMOSH are back to playing footy like they did 2 years ago - very good running team from half back. They had a couple of tall forwards who were a handful too.

Who really knows how either team will go this year, but i get the feeling both sides will have good years and be around the mark.

each to their own opinion, but Jake Levy BOG not from what i saw, played a good game though. Thoughtg the coach did enough to earn the 3 votes.
By the way, Golden Grove welcome to the big time, no hiding players in divy 3.
