I thought I read he got injured in the trial against South last Saturday?

He will play for magpies

I think he hurt his shoulder on the weekend, but should be alright to play this week.

Milera Thurgood Watt
Eber Butcher Harder
Dolling Banner Summerton
Clinch Mercer Surjan
Slattery Lokan Gates

Mikeljohn
Stanley
Gray

Paget
Eckermann
Lees

Butcher needs some confidence & maybe thrown down back early may see him attack the ball with some real aggression & take some clean ball, then throw him fwd, Lokan's one that can play fwd & Thurgood plays better footy down back.

Lokan at Full Back? Surely not.....and Georgiou would tear Thurgood apart if he lines up at Full Forward

Saw the magpies last week. Does Butcher come from a non football background? Terrible kick (accuracy and technique). Thurgood has excellent disposal and would bring others into the play if he was further back. Nothing wrong with Mickeljohn, Banner and Summertons form, looked good. Looked pacy but did play 26.

Norwood will have many forward options and many of them tall. Inclusions of Eagleton aand Jerchio whom are both experienced will make Norwood hard to beat despite Port having plenty of support.

Norwood by four goals.

Norwood side looks dare I say better than expected, very very strong.

When you consider the following players are unavailable due to injury:
Phillips, Zorzi, Young, Clarke, Littler, Fuller, Read, Dalwood and Gazzola

And Rookies that have fired in all trials can't make the first 18:
Nick Ramsay, Luke Brown, Peter Persinos, Andrew Levecki, Trevor Baust.

And Jonas, Schulz are on the bench

Says it all !!

One wonders where we are going to fit all these players when fully fit next week !!

Oh what a feeling :D

Cheers,

Early 20's I'd suggest, small, hard at, in his 2nd last year of studying to be a doctor .. Is a goer for sure.

Perhaps not in the best 22 at the moment, but he compete's well and maybe one day he will be?

Also a very talented cricketer is he not CP?

I think he plays with East Torrens in Grade Cricket - may open the batting I think?

Thanks, CP, I didn't know him.

Bassett must rate him to name him there, even if he doesn't start there.

Presumably Campbell will?

Not sure mate, I havent seen any of the trials nor spent much time down the club badgering the good folk who would know lol .. My guess would be that you're probably right, because you need a strong physical start against a club like Ports, but I reckon Doc Webber provides that sort of contest too.

He's probably been well groomed for that Weatherald type of role.

Outstanding young man btw

I know it may have been discussed elsewhere, but what are the admission prices for Footy Park tomorrow? Any discount for early arrivals for the SANFL game?
