The argument is that 1/ they should be free like suburban grounds (esp if they are NFC members) 2/ they should be allowed into the members where the parents (season ticket holders) will be

While I'm sympathetic to the issue I don't need to get into semantics, but I thought the reason the thread was started was that he thought he was being misled.

I could easily be mistaken though.

Why not admit any kids for free, provided that they A) turn up with a parent bearing a PAM/Norwood season ticket, and B) seek admittance prior to the start of the SANFL match?

Cause it generates no revenue for Port

But - and Booney ought to back me up here - it's only a piddly $2.50 per kid. Surely forgoing the entry prices for a hundred or so kids is not going to make a serious dent in the Port coffers - but will go a long way towards placating the Norwood and PAM fans who are (rightly) aggrieved at having to jump through AFL hoops to see their team.

I have no problems with letting the kids of the other SANFL curtain raiser club get in for free. As mentioned, I would guess it would be under $1000 of revenue, hardly worth the fuss.

Anyway, I'm out of this debate, I've had enough of the grizzling, cant believe the fuss and am looking forward to the action starting so crap like this is a mere sideshow and anyway, I've put my $2.50 worth in....

Im Actually accussing Booney of refusing to acknowledge the initial issue Fester brought up R&B.

LEt me guess why you havent been so vocal on this topic.

Shot your mouth off a few months ago assuring eveyone they were paranoid and everything would be fine with the curtain raiser set up. Only to realise.........................

Surprise Surprise.

Mate, look up 'non-sequitur'. It describes your method of argument as you flit from one theory to another, blissfully unaware that argument should have a logical sequence, not just a series of unconnected conclusions based on nothing.

Next, I've been correct in what I've said about the Foxtel Cup and I'm not that bothered about two curtain-raisers, so I haven't bothered to post about them, except to wish fester luck. It wouldn't bother me, but I see his point.

Next, I do believe some posters irrationally blame the AFL for eveything, but I'm happy to blame the AFL for things they should be blamed for, not things they couldn't give a stuff about. I made my point about that, so I've kept quiet about it since and I'm sure most people are happy I have.

Firstly, site rules say you should not 'out' posters.

Secondly, if you are going to 'out' a poster, show proof where they have ever denied what you accuse them of denying.

Thirdly, a volunteer is not, repeat not, an employee.

So whats your suggestion R&B. Can you "volunteer" your services so people can run their Anti AFl theories past you for approval before they submit the theory on safooty. And then you decide whether it has merit and is worth discussing or if not you can write a condensending article about the poster and his theory ???

Would that work for you ???

So you like the idea of Curtain raisers as you have rammed down our throats all summer. Yet you are also sympathetic to Festers cause. Eventhough peoples major protest against the curtain raiser over the summer was the extra expense to SANFL fans/families.

So your happy to provide the theory its better for the sanfl that fans go to AFl due to the SANFL earns extra $$$$$$$.

But you cant justify the extra expense to the fans individually. WHich is what we suggested to you about a month ago ????

I certainly didnt see this backflip/refusal to qualify stance coming up at all.

I wonder if you be so flippant if it was West fans complaining ????

This is a tad unfair for the SANFL follower.
Anyone who wants access to members area must use gate 6. Not so bad.
Anyone who wants to go in the outer must go to gate 4a. Pain especially if you're not familiar with footy park.

Assuming that for an 11:15 start teams run out at 11:05.
Footy express arrives at 11am, you then have 5 minutes to get to gate 6, find a seat and see your team running out. Any sort of delay and you miss your team running out or even miss the start of the match.
Then to leave you have to wait til the AFL game finishes, or walk to the mall and pay to catch the regular bus.
I won't be taking the bus.

Not complaining about it. I'll be driving there. Just adding more reasons as to why this curtain raiser is a pain in the rear. Why organise the footy express to arrive at the last possible minute? Its stupid thats all.

HTFU? If only the power supporters did that and turned up rain, hail, shine or timeslot.

Well said HBT - this is only an exercise to try and add some figures to the poor AFL attendences now associated with PAFC. What will happen next - a schedule of all SANFL games before the Power play to add even more numbers? Look forward to the midnight start against another SANFL club in the future!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.
