Can you refresh my memory Bazza .... Did you guys elect to drop down to section 2 ? If so, and after having dominated all year to just lose the GF, do you think it was a wise decision considering the bottom two section 1 sides could only win 1 game each and you may now be stuck in section 2 for another year ?

Be careful WUB 12 say anything remotely negative about PFCC although being honest in yr assessment and Jabber will have you barred for life :D . Same guy who set the footy and cricket clubs back a decade ! Speaking of which good luck to the Footy club against Rosewater this week ....

Well Done to WYC

Haven't been on here for a couple of weeks FIGJAM, did you check yourself back in to rehab?

so you were quite happy to use them for your advantage but now that you lost your not happy with the umpires ?
make your minds up , cant have it all your own way........ belair simply outplayed you on the day.......

Hello Smasha, good to see you take an interest in Section 2 Cricket mate. Anyway mate I wasnt aware of the fact that we could decide weather to take them or not, I was told, by the Umpires that if a result looks possible then the extra overs will be taken. And where did I say I wasnt happy with the Umpires. I said they made a Blue, and they admitted that to me after the game. I thought they did a good job. Full credit to Belair, they bowled and fielded very well.
We werent good enough on the day.

I really dont think Porties should get the right to jump straight into sect 1. If either Belair of Haven choose not to come up, then porties should get a crack. Yes they dominated the Southern Comp and well done to the, but they wont be able to play at that high a standard as their best bat aj burgess is off to glenelg district next season. First choice for sect 1 should always go to the clubs who have earnt the right in our comp, such as Belair and Haven.

Belair are a good bunch of lads with some players with some real promise and they should be given the chance to go up. And haven had an outstanding year but just fell away on the final day. Putting in porties at the expense of either of these two clubs would be a shame. PFCC and WOS dont have the quality anymore, wos being just too many passengers and PFCC too many young blokes who need time away from the pressures of sect 1 to develop their games.

On a personal note I would like to congratulate the rambler b grade on their gf win on the weekend. ouplayed coro in a great game well supported by both teams. Shame Kiwi couldnt see it was just that, a game

What are peoples tips for the hewett medal now that it is less than 3 weeks away.

I am sticking Rob Hopkins to win.

Second i think will be Josh Lourens

Third will be Michael Thomas who will be the leader at xmas.

Sampson, Tonkes, Matt King and Matt Smith will round out the top 7.

coro ramblers have picked up port noarlunga
keeper/batter SCOTT BROWN for next season.
his reason for leaving was he would rather play
with CALEB BLESSING than against.
I think their friends from Southern districts juniors.
Big loss for the whitepointers

News to me lads. wouldnt be an unwelcome surprise tho, quality player/bloke

Hoppy for the hewett as well as the best performer in the comp, but most valuable player to their team is without a doubt josh lourens.

Can you explain how you can be the best performer in the comp but not the most valuable player to a side?

Hoppy has been the best performer in the comp, but Josh Lourens has been the most valuable player to his side. Ie take Josh out of coro and they would go down a few spots, take hoppy out of wyc and yes they wouldnt be as good, but they have other players who would be able to fill the void and probably still make finals. Im not sure if Coro have the same depth. Thats all im saying

Cheers it was a genuine question. I see what you mean but thats not how i read it initially. I agree Josh would leave a larger hole in his side than Hoppy would in ours. Hoppy would leave a big hole though.

If looking outside the Club for someone to coach our club is worth laughing at, well I guess that's up to you. I've posted it as a topic on safooty if any want to have a look at it rather than speculate on what we may or may not want/need.

As with most coaching positions in any sport where an outsider is sought, renumeration would be offered in line with the coaching ability of the applicant.

I don't see the problem with looking for a coach, in fact i think it is a good positive move from your club jabber.

I do find it funny a keswick person finding humour in another club looking at paying someone at their cricket club.

Yep, we're making no secret of it, we're putting it out there, we want soemone to come in and work with the youth that we've got. There is definately some talent there but we feel they need to be coached a bit more. We've put a plan in place with criteria that we feel is important to PFCC building success.

We also think its a positive move, its not a short term fix, its an on going work in progress as more kids come through. Thanks for your support Bloods.

Who gets paid at keswick? Jabber i think getting a coach in is an excellent idea. PFCC have plenty of talented players in your a grade side and getting a coach in would only help them along. good luck with the search
