agree a sit down dinner count the week of the GF would be amazing.

i guess from a PDCA point of view they would have been a bit dissapointed with the turn out for the actual count, they were only a 2-3 blokes from each div 1 and div 2 club attending except BL who had a great turnout, so while the count was good fun and a great way to do it imho it lacked a tad of atmosphere, thats why a seperate count night for Div 1 and Div 2 would work amazingly well.

For sure, let's face it, travelling out to Two Wells is a bit of a burden for some, especially if they have nothing to go there for. This was the first one I've missed this millenium, a count night would make it a bit more prestigious.

Well thats it, most people had to add an hour extra onto their night in travelling to and from Two Wells.

With a seperate count night the skies the limit really, as you could go anyway with it being black tie, sit down meals or casual dress with finger foods etc etc etc, invites could be sent out to all past winners to attend.

There could also be a PDCA team of the year announced on the night ensuring a few more players would be keener to attend.

A Wednesay night before the GF at a club such as Smithfield which is a bit closer to most clubs would be the way to go.

We have a fully qualified chef, a huge menu list and would be able to cater for whatever the clubs would prefer. It could really be ramped up into a great night, we can fit heaps in there too.

Even with out the Chef, the size and space of Smithfield clubrooms would make it the perfect choice.

sounds great would love to see it happen next year,

Extremley poor turnout last night IMO, even from BL.

I dont like the night personally, I think it should be a sit down meal and more of a formal night, I know the $$$ element would scare a few people away.

At the moment, its not an appealing night

Do other clubs think BL should still have a grade 1 side next year? - Being our C grade from this season (grade 4 would be)

This is what has been said from the PDCA, hopefully tongue in cheek.

No, he got two that day. All in all, according to the stats, the umps weren't that far out, swings and roundabouts. Most players fared around par, hard to judge when onfield demeanour would come into it aswell.

We would cap our meals, they only charge $10 max anyway for whatever's on the menu, she has no overheads so she can lash out on big servings. We have many patrons that we've never seen before that come in for the meals only.
Current menu items include:
Calamari
Scotch Fillet
Beef or chicken snitty's
Octupus
Fish
Huge Burgers

Plenty of others, all with chips and salad.

You should submit a list players that will NOT play in the PDCA next season and then let the jury decide where you should be placed.

I know we had a good year but seriously, Have a look at our C grade - Most of us were suprised we got dumped out of grade 4 for last season but its a mid table grade three side at the absolute most. Obviously it needs to be worked out fairly for everyone but unless we keep everyone and pickup four or five thats just nonsense talk.

If that has really come from someone in the executive as a serious comment - and I doubt it would have, they should consider how saying things like that could effect the decisions we make about next season.

Was just having a look around on MyCricket and found this little beauty

C.Stone from Angle Vale finished the grade 1 season making 6 Ducks in a row

Bet he was looking forward to the season ending.

Is there any other quirky/funny/surprising stats out there people know of from the 2010/2011 season.

In the Finals series Eastern Park took a total of 13 wickets for 46 runs!

Also Sutton (Atco) took 8 for 17 in an innings in a losing GF.

Another lil stat...

In the OTH Grand final in Div 7... No one made more than double figures!

How many times will you see a GF like that?
