went to Granite Island for the first time in years today and noted how much it had changed in many ways. More fencing, much more protection of penguins (finally and rightly), but it just seemed to have lost something along the way.

I'd say that's definitely a young dog. Nothing sheeplike about it. Suspect the guy is either trying to make a quick buck or evade a charge of neglect looking at the state of the poor thing's coat. Reckon it would be easy enough to take a dog with a longish, soft coat and matt it up to look more like wool.

In this pick it clearly has a dog's tail too...

I was thinking along the lines of what JAS said - maybe it is a dog and the farmer is looking for some kind of temporary 'fame'.

See the sheep push it across the yard - is that a tell tale giveaway.

So we go BACKWARDS tonight?

I knew it was today, but I always forget which way to go!

And will we have posters complaining for the next six months- liek last year- that all the times of posts are bass-ackwards?
