A Grade Semi washed out at 0/21.....robbed!!!. To get rained out when you are only 435 runs shy of victory was soul destroying. Good luck to Woody Rechabites in GF next week, they have been best team all year in A2 and deserve to win.

Good luck to your B grade next week old mate ;)

On a lighter note,it is great the Farms have made the finals in both As and Bs and luck too them both as well as the one day side that have qualified.
A wise man more than once said, never give a sucker an even break or he will have ya guts for garters. Hail that great man, might get the goanna oil out this week.

So bag and sledge are you putting your hand up to captain again? One would think 2 years in you would of learnt alot and wouldnt be very happy with the way you guys went out, which generally means it makes you stronger to succeed or has the opposite effect, you want to let go and just concentrate on your game without the worry of 10 blokes...
I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.

There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

With all the doom and gloom regarding the As and Bs and the one day side there has been a silver lining to the Farms season. For those that dont know the the U/15s were sent into bat on what would have been considered a hard and fast wicket (mistake #1). Then to laugh and snigger at a 4ft high lad opening the bat (mistake #2), made 28 and batted till the 25th over in a one dayer. Zac McGahey retired 17no after facing 45 balls in the 28th over batting at 4, only 3 down. Wade Matthews 23 from 24 balls at 6 ,Sam Ciapinna put a ball on the roof at Tregenza Oval and made a valuable 11, Ethan Sandery 10 off 11 and Sam Loy put a ball into orbit on the second last ball to finish with 7 from 7. Total of 132 for 5 from 36 overs. Enter Eastern Suburbs previously undefeated, 0 for 31, on comes Pete Ahern (the 4 foot high lad), just turned 12 and takes 2 wickets in his first over to back up Zac,s first wicket in the previous over,in the space of 4 overs they are now 5 for 43 with a 450 run man for the year out for 2. What a finish with the crowd pumped for the young Farmer side on the edge of their seats with the possibility of the unthinkable happening but only by those outside of the inner sanctum. Jai Noble nailed the finish with their last recognized batsman spooning a slower ball to short cover, then to follow in the next over with the same ball going to the same fielder. Game over you little legends. Happy days.

Thanks PG,was truly one of the best days, all plans executed perfectly by a bunch of top lads. That is now 4 in a row for about half a dozen of the boys but by far and away the most satisfying, first for the rest. Was also half of the lads first year in U15s coming from NEJCA U/13s last year, was Div 1 in ATCA age group in the North.

I watched this team play for about half an hour during the latter half of the year and must admit that i was
blown away with how good these young lads were. Straight drives, good technique- well done young fella's
you truly deserve the victory!

Young Wade Matthews played an internal pre-season match game for us at the start of the season and just
about every player came up and asked me who he was.
He also won MOTM as voted by these players for his efforts.
He has a massive future IMO, and i can tell you his dad is as proud as punch of him, as he should be!
