I like Blight's commentary. For a bloke who has coached premierships, IMO he's refreshingly different and is happy to be natural and not stick to a boring formula like many.

The sort of comments he makes are often more similar to those made by fans at the footy rather than so-called experts.

He has a crack at saying what might happen and isn't biased like many.

He does seem to irritate a few people.
He has a great football brain, but isn't the greatest at articulating his ideas in a commentary context.

He certainly is a strange cat! If you just met him and had a conversation with him, you wouldn't believe he was once the best coach in the game!!

Put me down for the anti-Blight brigade. He should call himself Captain Obvious. The amount of times I hear him call that a side needs a goal when they're behind with not much time left is beyond annoying.
No sh1t they need a goal Malcolm! Derr!

Young Mr.Boon heading to the Womens and Childrens this morning to find out if they pin, wire or simply plaster his broken finger. Left ring finger, top knuckle to tip of finger split down the middle, the bone, that is.

He did it last Thursday while I was in Perth with work....not much fun as a Dad when that happens.

He was playing cricket for the school. I've told his lots of times, wicket-keepers are stupid, it's just a stupid job to even contemplate taking on. Yes, he was 'keeping.

Has done a very good job of it. If you can imagine that tiny bone in the end of your finger splitting into two wedge shape pieces, that is what he has done.

I did it to my left thumb, kept playing footy, then left for overseas and it healed a little demented. I'm looking forward to early onset of arthritis in that thumb. Yay for sport!

Seems that Boon Jnr has a habit of breaking things in his hand, hasn't he done something like this before?

Booney, your son is correct and you are wrong.

Wicketkeepers are the brains of any cricket team. They are all class people who have a deep understanding of the game, a skill level far higher than the rest and are all top blokes.

They are definitely not stupid

Well, most of them aren't ;)

Close, but I always figured blokes who could bat a bit and bowl a bit were the key's to a cricket team... ;)

*Not all 'keepers are stupid, granted.*
