Mclaren disposed of Port Noarlunga easy on Saturday Greenbank , Loots looked good with Cam Hockey a great focus up front.

Trial Game

Postby luvayarn » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:25 am

beleive Meningie played a trial game against Goolwa on the weekend lost their As by just under a goal and their Bs got done as well, apparently they had players out of both grades, also from what was told Goolwa had a number of players on the sidelines.
I would think Goolwa can come away seeing some improvement in both their Senior grades for the coming season as they have been struggling for a few years now.I did not see the game but was told it was played in good spirit.
Good luck to both Meningie and Goolwa for the season ahead.

Bays took some confidence out of sat with a trial against Christies beach, the a grade won by 18 goals with a very dominant performance, the b grade also won there game by two goals. Promising signs with 8 a graders still to come back for round one. Thanks to Chrisites for the games and also good luck with their year ahead.

I heard Victor defeated Reynella fairly easily in today's trial, although I don't know if either side were close to full strength.

Not strictly true GWW, Victor had a great first half and were doing it comfortably but took the foot off and Reynella played some good footy and came back, it was very close in the end but not sure of the score. Not sure about Reynella but Victor had 4 players that i can think of to come back into the A's.

Now for the real stuff :D

Unless I got sidetracked late in the last I think the margin was about 2 goals and quite a few points. Victor kicked 6 goals to 1 in the first quarter then barely fired a shot after that and only finished with 9. Pretty low scoring affair with Reynella coming home with the breeze to hit the front in the last. Boyd and Ryan had a run but D Iljcesen, J Parker and the Krugers were absent. A few of the new players seemed to be missing too so difficult to know how they will impact yet.

B Grade: Reynella by 20 goals
Snr Colts: Victor by 15

Very hard to pick round 1 - esp with no trial info (not that it means that much) - but where is everyone....round one this week and all is quiet. Tiger83? WOW? LF? kickittome? fabio? limb? Ninjas? Mclaren done some big recruiting and nothing from Yetti, tatts, hereforthebeer??? A Mum??

Should I turn the light off on the way out? :?
