The AFL does the Dreamteamers no favours by starting on a Thursday. would be nice to spend Fridat pottering through the line ups.

Idea being leave them off the ground if they don't score well, but if they do, come Fridays partial lockout - trading the expected least scoring player you have on the field for a gold coast rookie who won't play, therefore having the Carlton/Richmond players score count? Bit hard to explain ...

Thinking this will be how I go too. Just need to be certain that noone pulls out at the last minute though. A bit riskier than the VC scenario but definately a good option.

Don't they normally give you a couple of games to 'warm up' - or are we straight into playing each other this year?

Hope nick lower goes alright for freo, has done all the right things since being de-listed from the power. Q Man, has port confirmed the debut of players like pittard, o'shea, irons?

Looking for a 3rd Ruckman... is either Moran (crows) or Bailey (Hawks) a chance at palying this week?

Not sure on Moran, but Bailey has played at least one game in the VFL. Could be a chance. I'll probably have him as my 4th ruck. I've found rookie rucks the hardest to pick this year.

Agreed Droppy. In the end I've decided to dodge the popular sex on the beach strategy and gone with Sandi + Vickery with Petrie on the bench and one of the GSC boys as 4th ruck. I think this will give me extra flexibility in the byes whilst not parking too much cash on the bench.

No doubt REB thinks this strategy is sh1t though, like most things I do (and I'm yet to prove him wrong on that one unfortunately  ).

Each to their own but i wouldnt have anything more than 100k on my rucks bench, in fact prob on all my benches unless they are a high draft pick from last season ie swallow or conca or gaff...
