Will play only if we are short in the Ressies, virtually hung up the boots. Body is just about gone for footy

Hey Biff, how is it you knew about the possible recruit, but not Zadow? Common knowledge around the place. So are you just a supporter?

I heard about the possible recruit only last week from an Imps supporter and he was the one asking me about Zadow. As far as I knew he was heading to Karoonda but only looked at the clearance lists today

Pretty sure the only way a transfer can be knocked back is because of player being unfinancial with his subs or they have a current CFL contract.
Mannum Roos VS Barmera Monash Roos at Mannum this week. Both finished 2nd in their respective leagues. Should be a great hit out for both sides.
Then only a week to go until the real deal. Then we will be able to write something about footy on this forum. Only so much can be written about in and outs before it starts wearing thin.

Local trials this week

Friday Imperials Vs Mt Barker. 8.00pm start
Saturday Ramblers Vs Langhorne Creek
Mannum Vs Bamera

Last year Mt Barker smashed a pretty weak Imperials team in a trial. Both sides should be at full strength and Mt Barker must be regarded as one of the better country football teams going around at the moment. I would be suprised if Imperials can get within 5 goals of Mt Barker but if they do they deserve to start premiership favourites in the RMFL.

Get it right sk,if your referring to Barmera playing Bridgewater last year,Barmera went down with a hugely undermanned side, playing alot of kids and seconds and yes, duely got smashed, the year before Barmera played Bridgey on the Berri Oval and toweled them up!As for Barmera playing Mannum its 1 all over the last couple of years

Bootstudder, you should stick to the boots! went to watch both games and last years result is correct but the year before i know Barmera only just won and bridgey didn't have a full strength team either. Don't think too many teams do when they have to travel some distance for trials.

That said, it ahould still be a good game between the ROOS'! Think mannum will be too good tho!

If Barmera's full team played Mannum's full team, Barmera would win hands down. no point judging teams in trial games though. Teams are never able to field a full side due to cricket and tennis finals etc

Barmera may win, but I'd be surprised if it would be "hands down", which sort of implies a 15 goal or more win.

Mannum has some handy footballers - Waterhouse, Kennedy (ex BLG), Hall (ex South Adelaide/Glenelg/Subiaco), Ben Quinn etc.

Barmera have some handy players too. They lost by 4 points to Irymple on the weekend and Irymple won the GF in the Mildura League last year.

I have no doubt they have handy players, I'm just saying it may not be as one sided as your intial post alluded to. You might be right, but I suspect it would be closer than that.

i didn't say they would win by 15 goals. i said they would win hands down and by that, I mean I have no doubt Barmera would win. 2 goals or 10 goals, a win's a win.

Are you kidding? Mannum at full strength would wipe the floor with the other Roos.

Think you will find that Irymple lost the GF by 10 goal!

Doesn't matter, it's a trial and it should pit two really good teams against each other and be worth watching!

have seen a bit of both RFL & RMFL over the years and I reckon they are virtually on par in regards to standard so game will be close.
