Junior Member Curtain-raiser debacle.

All discussions to do with the SANFL

I take all that on board and appreciate your considered comments and agree that the $15 for a child to join a parent in the members is OTT.

But surely for one game, a little over 2 hours, sitting on the "other" side of the fence is of little consequence?

Does your ticket through the NFC not get you ( as an adult ) into the outer FOC?

Better idea: the other clubs should charge Port fans $4 per snag at the barbie

They'd need to be very good quality. ;)

Not just the ticket price, but car parking too. The buses won't be running in time to get everyone down to the game would they? And they wouldn't run them to get everyone out of the game if they chose not to stay for the Power.

Geezus, I had to pay full adult prices for accomodation and airflights for my kids to our match in Brisbane. Wish I only had $2.50 or $15 to complain about as opposed to $1100! And that's before I even get a lookin to buy tickets to the match!
Go pick up some bottles, they're worth 10c each. Even better, come grab the bottles in my backyard, probably got at least $50 worth.
Problem solved.

Parents of the club who have an all games (Home and away) season tickets can go into the Members stand FOC, but these particular kids cant, they have to either pay $2.50 to get into the outer (and who in their right mind will let their kids roam the public area of AAMI Stadium without supervision) or, they pay an additional $15.00 per head to go with their parents.

Thats the point of the matter, in Fester's case he is a member of the NFC and has an all home and away games season ticket and his kids are all Junior members which each cost $40.00.

It is an additional $60 for him and his 4 kids to go and see an SANFL home and away game, which he and the kids have already paid for, he has indicated that he has never missed a Port Magpies/Norwood game and has no interest in staying to watch the AFL game immediately following.

ps: Booney, I make no aspersions against Port Adelaide or Power fans in the outer, there are just as many Norwood ferals around as well

Cheers,

So you're comparing me to Saddam Hussein? I dont get the joke, then again I dont get half ( or more ) of your posts.

One game of the year Norwood fans get to see their team play at Footy Park ( bar finals ) and it could cost as little as $2.50 to take your kid along with you. You like dealing with facts, and this, if I'm not mistaken, is fact, yes?

So one game, one kid, $2.50. Fact?

AFL fans and contradictions a match made in heaven!!!!!

These people must be so selfish for wanting to sit with their families in the members where they have tickets. Surely they and their children can simply put themselves out for the good of the "almighty" PAFC hey Mr Boon!!!.

Booney, yes the adult all season tickets get you into the outer FOC, but at this stage the admin at AAMI stadium guarantee you no particular seat and the Power members are fully entitled to ask you to move on if you are sitting in their pre-paid allocated seat correct?

Alternative arguement, do you or any Port Magpie/ Norwood true supporter really want to be asked to pack up and move all through the SANFL game??

Your whole argument could be resolved by AAMI allocating a couple of covered bays to Port Magpie/Norwood supporters. Then covering them up if required after the final siren of the SANFL game.

My guess is that will not happen, the game shift was agreed by both clubs and the SANFL to make the whole "One Port" approach look successful to both Port Magpie and Power supporter groups at the season home game opener and the greater TV audience encouraging more membership sales and a lessening financial burden on the SANFL and its clubs.

The pity is, that a significant number of both Norwood and Magpie supporters will leave straight after the first game maintaining no alliance with either the Power or Freo.

Cheers,

DOnt forget to give your pass outs to those fans lining up outside.

Especially if its a travelling supporter. They are always very appreciative and it will make their chances of returning to Adelaide greater next time.

Which Fester mentions in his original post.

And now for the Grand prize Mr Boon.

What was Festers original complaint about ???????????????

a) getting his kids in the members for $15
b) getting his kids in the outer for $2.50

(adds thinking music)

Incorrect.

Festers original complaint was about $15 for children to access members and sit with their parents.

Three? A Bays membership entitles a holder to a double (?) pass to a single AFL game, which must be chosen from a set list of games (the ones that won't draw a crowd - most of 'em Power matches, all of 'em against harmless teams like Freo). I had assumed this was the same deal for the other SANFL clubs.

For the record I am unlikely to use my AFL tickets and will likely palm them off on a friend.

Sorry, yes it's 1 for Crows and 1 Power from a choice of 3 each

Free, when you park on the streets.

AFL set the prices. I will go and watch the Sturt curtain raiser game when we play Port and stay for the main game and i dont barrack for either Power or Carlton. I dont get the chance to watch many afl games due to football commiments but i want to get my moneys worth and enjoy the privilege of the members or the outer.

$15 for 4 hours of footy is a good deal.
