Sounds like an insult... but one that sits on the fence.
With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

So here is the reason I was told why Gower didnt play and I know the Lodge boys will refute it till the cows come home.

I was told he was not selected in their A grade side and refused to play B grade :( , I would of thought the coach would of had some say in selection but obviously not at the Lodge. Maybe he is there to show Groover where to put the cones. ;)

Their B grade skipper was not happy with his decision and surely they cant change their sides for this weekend.

So its not because of some infected toe or any other crap they would like us to hear. I would of thought they had a standard response ready for this question as it was going to be raised this week. They are normally all saying the same responses to most questions so why didnt they have this one covered, maybe the committee are also not happy he refused to play?

On this note, is it the coaches call when selecting sides or the skipper decides who to take into battle and leave the coach to do the Tuesday/Thursday activities? Personally I think to many chiefs spoil the peace pipe ;)

SF I can't believe you think we all tow the club line on here mate... 8)

There are only a couple of people who can explain him not playing and they are on the selection committee and I don't think you will find them handing out any selection information to anyone on here the week before 4 grand finals  .

I can say that Rick has brought a new level of professionalism to the club this year, and the committee has appreciated the way he has become such as an important member of the club so quickly, allowing the rest of us to get on and do things in other areas. He is approachable and has a plan to improve the club even further. Bringing Rick to the club has been one of the best moves we have made and I thoroughly recommend it to any other PDCA club.

So no denial to my claim Botham.
I look forward to hearing the truth, I am willing to wait until after the weekend. ;)
I am sure he has brought a professionalism to your club but its not new for a club to have a coach and plenty of guys have CA coaching accreditation that play in the PDCA, I know our club has about 3 guys with their level 1.
