You can't stop people from playing at what level they want, i mean just because there are some quality blokes playing in divs lower than their capabilites doesn't give you the right to force them higher or impose restrictions on them.

Perhaps if BL had ordinary seasons in higher grades whilst Payne was hitting mountains of runs in grade 8 more questions might be asked.

There are plenty of examples of blokes playing lower than they can all over the place, personally i think although they may dominate, it provides an exciting challenge and opportunity for other players coming up against them.

i will be sure to let atco craigmore and north pines know that mate.... dont worry about being beatn by 300 runs every game just be glad your playing against exiting players....

You can say all you want, but as long as you are happy been a lower grade hero bowling pies and getting slapped by teams B grades, then go for it.

That first comment was just some bait but yeah jump in on the fact you played grade 1. Unfortunetly i dont change teams to play grade 1 like you so we have to get there ourselves. I can't argue there though Masha they were definetly slappers but im happy to bowl a season and go for 2.6 an over, thats almost your batting average so can't be too bad my books.[/quote]

Not bad, could be the funniest/most accurate thing you have said all year.

My reasons for switching clubs has nothing to do with you, but that comment above is pretty much on the other end of the truth scale. As for getting there yourselves, retirement may come quicker.

you got proof of the PDCA telling the player this? I wouldn't believe anything a player said - especially from Playford!

I did get to see the 54 y.o bat, he found the middle every time and hit it wherever he wanted. As I've said before, I wouldn't of voted on TTG to be in Grade 8 and the one day comp should be a seperate identity. As for the Playford player, I wont comment on that as I find it obsurd, you can either play or not play.
I can't put North Pines in the same category as ATCO and Craigmore, they had two of their 3 sides in the one day comp, I'm sure the better one day sides would match it with Grade 4 teams, it was the club delegates that allowed it this way.

No need to be sorry, I forgive you. You were the one who mentioned it, so obviously it interests you. Maybe you should be worried about yourself before spending your nights worrying about my cricket and living your cricket dreams through Rose an Crown.

Finally, good luck in 2011/2012 for Craigmore.

Absolutely, I remember at the AGM before last when they were trying to determine how far a player can drop, the majority voted that it didn't matter from one season to the next, only 1 grade per week in the same season got the nod.

I can just imagine Brahmas A"s and B"s both chasing 280 odd on Sunday. They would most likely be 2/100 after 55 overs. :-q
