Yes - and also could mean more people at Anzac day dawn services - given that they have the next day off.

No, but only because I've maintained my "Continuing Professional Development" programme and accreditation with my College all through, even though I haven't actually seen any patients in 12 months.
If I'd let that lapse it would have been another story, but I deliberately kept my options open - I suspected I may get bored in time and was looking for something part-time.
I retired in March 2008, made a comeback in October 2009 part-time, then quit in May 2010 when I had surgery.
