I'm pretty sure there was both last year. Team of the Year against country, Under 23 against other states etc. I think for the Leagues celebration year, we should have a Open State Team V Victoria

Being SAAFL I didn't think that clubs were allowed to stop playing from state representation.

I've recently been told that a leading div 1 ruckman was approached to play in the easter game and their club said "no way, you're not having him"

Mate did you hire the ground? Didn't think you paid anything for it just the bar. You are an avid Kilburn Kicker going by a couple of threads. Got a problem with them?

You think that something like that would have been taken care of by Kilburn if someone is going to hire your ground.

I thought Big Phil had his finger on everything that happens down there? or so he says

Whether FE is bashing Kilburn or not, or even if we 'hired' the ground or not, surely curtesy could be shown by having the sprinklers delayed to come on after the game?? Not too much to ask i wouldn't have thought.

My understanding is that they are council controlled. It happened when i was playing a day night cricket match there in Shell Shield, sprinklers came on with 15 runs to win!

Who wants to play on Easter Saturday, most blokes will want a break or go away for the 5 day break.

Why was the Henley V Seaton trial cancelled for today?
Is the whisper true a club couldn't get a side together?
Instead this club is going to have an internal trial on the day of the Clipsal.

No problems with Henley fielding a side.
We did play an internal after we were cancelled on though.
Must be a tough weekend, as another club we were set to play also cancelled this weekend.

Thinking a Henley V Seaton game wouldn't exactly be a test for Henley, Div 1 premier V Div 3 side that didn't make finals. Can't see a lot of good coming out of that for either team really. Maybe Seaton thought the same way?

You wouldn't agree to a trial then cancel a few days before would you.
I'd be nice & p!ssed off, especially when most clubs organise 3 trials before the real stuff starts.
