good to see the homeside produce a green top and not a road where both teams hit over 500 in their first innings as usual in shield finals.

After 7 overs 0/31

Batsman dont like running I dont think, 7 4's and a three cut off just before hitting the rope are the only scoring shots so far.

GAME 1 Sydney
NS 97
TA 125
NS 190
TA 9/167 [were 9/136]

GAME 2 Hobart
NS 74
TA 353
NS 209

Twice TA have demolished the Blues batters on what must have been bowler friendly decks[Hobart as per usual]

Today is a SS FInal
Should the Tasmanian curator produce the TA bowler friendly deck thats been produced MOST of the year ?
Should the curator produce a featherbed as a draw is also a win for TA ?

All season on this deck the first innings scores have been low
From memory only one score of over 300
TA have won enough of these games to host todays match

So I wonder how this deck will play

NS 0/66 [15.5] I guess this scoreline shows what the pitch is like

Looks like the curator has almost CHEATED to make a different deck this game
This being the case I hope NS make a million runs and win the final

NSW lose their first wicket

Warner bowled by Doherty for 47 in his first over...change of pace and lots of spin

Hughes 40*

Get 300+ batting first on that deck and it could be an interesting game.

Commentators talking how Hughes has changed his technique a bit.
Since lunch he has played two beautiful shots. An on drive which was a great shot and followed by a punch of the back foot through cover.

Hughes to make another SS final ton

Hughes is looking really good. This has shown me that he has changed his game enough.

I reckon Hughes is playing for his test spot in Sri Lanka and he is going alright.

Commentators talking about tapping one of the three (ponting, hussey, katich) on the shoulders. Hughes is helping make the choice for the selectors i reckon.
Really impressed with how he is batting. For mine, i would say see ya later to ponting and katich. Or see ya to hussey, and bat ponting at 5/6
