I've seen the Backseat Romeos, they backed a band (who I can't think of right now) in loxton last year and were quiet good.

Guantanomo Bay City Rollers is the best name I've heard of for a band in a long time.

They played with the Hard-Ons in Loxton back in 2005...
& I think they had a gig with The Spazzys there last year (I can't remember but I think it was cancelled!)
Backseat Romeos guitarist & vox 'Pete the Stud' currently resides in Renmark!

That is a ripper name. One of my favourites along with The Brian Jones Town Massacre.

That's right - it was The Hard Ons - what a great night that was!
Nah - no gig booked in Loxton with the Spazzys last year, I can definitely promise you that.

Pete The Stud lives in Renmark now? That's good to know - you have a contact for him? I know some people that would be interested to hear that info for booking reasons.

I am listening to a new album that came out a couple of weeks back:

A Weekend in the City - Bloc Party.

Absolutely brilliant album and people who are fans of The Killers, Coldplay, Oasis, Radiohead, U2 and the like will love this!

He likes to keep a low profile but I just checked with him & he's cool with it...
So I'll send you a 'Private' message with his mobile number.
You can also contact the 'Backseat Romeos' through their Myspace page!

Who's the guy that runs the (really good) record store in Renmark? I was always under the impression he was an old rock veteran...

Damn, I remember getting some good stuff there - reasonably obscure too, especially for the Riverland :)

been flipping between some new purchases...

the shins - wincing the night away
cold war kids - robbers & cowards
dappled cities fly - granddance
gotye - like drawing blood
sparta - threes

being a big mars volta fan i didn't think i'd ever bother with a sparta record... always seemed so bland on the radio but something compelled me to buy 'threes' and its not too bad. its paint-by-numbers compared to mars volta but its still pretty damn solid

mr66... amputechture was probably my favourite cd from last year. took a while to get into but there are so many awesome layers to it, played it for weeks and weeks
